That's the local television broadcast. There is an AmericaOne stream but the quality is awful in comparison.

Do you guys stream that video, or is that a TV product? Pretty decent quality there.

Woo hoo! Tonight's game is on Time Warner cable in the Albany, NY area. Of course, I'll have the WITR internet feed on as well.

Colevecchia out with a back injury tonight.

Watson starting. Tigers in black.

I'm not sure who this team in black is...

But they are pretty good!

No AmericaOne stream.. no JustinTV stream. Fate really screwed me over tonight.

They've had someone kicking the equipment every so often to try to keep AmericaOne running.

Can't remember the last time I was so happy to see a tie.

Nice game by the Tigers. Let's hope this is the change in momentum for the season.

Look at the shots on goal. We're lucky to have gotten the tie. If Watson doesn't stand on his head, it's a blowout.

This is a huge game for RIT. We just gave Niagara their first non-win in the AHA all season. We proved we can go in against the very best and hang with them. Definitely a great way to go into break. Seriously, who really expected us to even earn a point tonight?

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-2013 - Locked, Loaded, And Ready To Roar <<<<<

Great effort tonight all around. I saw lots of hustle and heart, finishing checks, giving that extra effort ( although there is 1 or 2 talented guys who always seem to dog it if they arent on offense but I wont mention the names). Missing smith, colavechia and hamburg but we had Ben Lynch step up and play as the star offensive player we all know he is capable of. He has been breaking out of his sophomore slump season after the promising freshmen year. Watson is gaining confidence and experience, and had his best collegiate game to date. Hate to mention it but we do technically have a 5 game unbeaten streak, albeit only 2 wins but 3 ties : ) Its all positive, these guys are showing heart and winning with a short bench going into a nice break where hopefully everyone can get back close to healthy! Happy Holidays

Watson was awesome tonight. Defense played one of their better games aside from the number of shots on net. Still got to get some people to shoot more.

All in all, good to get a tie and get to the break on a good note. now get everyone healthy and see if the team can't make a run.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-2013 - Locked, Loaded, And Ready To Roar <<<<<

Aside from all the other brights spots concerning tonight's game one of the best facts that I took from the game (and RIT Winters touched upon this as well) is that we can play with the best in the AHA. All the other teams in the AHA will have taken note of this fact too as I'm sure many of them watched tonight's game. From here on out no one in the league can predetermine that RIT is having a "down" year. To think that could cost you a game or a trip to the BCA.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-2013 - Locked, Loaded, And Ready To Roar <<<<<

Coach mentioned something interesting in the post game show. Aside from Holy Cross (who took three of four points from RIT) the Tigers have won the series against AIC and SHU and still can take the season series against the other five west teams and the other three east teams. If they were able to do that, that would put them in a pretty good position come season's end.

There's a lot to feel good about going into the second half of the season.

How does that invalidate what I said? We had a 2-goal lead. The shot stats are misleading; Niagara threw everything they had at the net, while the Tigers waited for opportunities. Yes, Watson played well and made some great saves; so did Chubak (his style isn't pretty, but it's effective). If we'd had a couple more shots on-target, or if Chubak had been just a little slower to react on one shot, we would have won.

I mean, at a very very basic level "We coulda won this one" applies to literally every game we've ever lost. It's always possible to win a game. You can always say things like "if we had a few more chances..." or "if their goalie hadn't made that save..." but that's how every game works. Just like I can say that if we had Colevecchia, Hamburg, or Smith in the game instead of Nolan and Raibl switching between offense and defense, we might have capitalized and won.

As it was I thought RIT played pretty well but Niagara showed why they are 1st and we are 8th. Watson allowed us to stay in the game long after we scored our second goal. This game showed me more about RIT than any other so far. We seem to have definitely turned a corner and that gives me reason to hope that the second half will be better. The standings 2-12 are still pretty tight and we're right there in it.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-2013 - Locked, Loaded, And Ready To Roar <<<<<

Yeah, but what I meant is that we had a very good chance of winning and arguably should have won. Despite the shot disparity, play was pretty even between the two teams... with the exception of the end of the second period when Niagara really pressed and scored their two goals. In the third, RIT came back and kept them out of the net; if we'd done that in the second, it would have been an "easy" win, and possibly a shutout -- despite the shot differential.

And of course, if the refs had called some of the interference that Niagara was putting on our guys...

I was at the game, the shots were greatly exaggerated. If reversed, they would have been more believable. We actually laughed out loud when they were announced.
