Just read the newest edition of "This Week in Atlantic Hockey."

One comment kinda stuck out...
I’m willing to bet that RIT, which is averaging about 1,900 fans per game will not come close to that on Saturday, when the Tigers will play their first afternoon game since 2001.

While I also do not expect attendance to be near 1900, i don't think it is because it's an afternoon game. I think had the game been last weekend, or in the middle of the quarter, you would have about the same attendance for a 4pm game as a 7pm game.

If you count the number of people that are going to show up at 7 PM on Saturday you might be right. We won't know this season, but I don't think they'd get 1,900 at 4 PM start while school is in session.

I think the better question would be how much of the crowd would get kicked out of the game if he were to show up at Ritter.

Outside of a few of you hardcore corner crew types I don't think anyone will care or remember the ref from that game. I certainly don't.

And I think attendance is going to suck on Saturday :)

I guess you had to read the entire thread to know, that thread is someone's over reactioan to "Clean Up" College Hockey. The response I posted was a nice way that somebody else told the guy to go pound salt...

Sacred Heart played, what I thought, was a good road game. They really out hit us, were more physical, and blocked a lot of shots. I thought we were lucky to get a win out of it and not have to settle for a tie. Didn't help that we had a number of sloppy plays. Way too many fans/whiffs not only shooting the puck but on a number of passes as well. That's the short of crap I do when I play they need to get it together :) Great to have Brenner back in the line up. Even though Favot scored that game winner I thought he had one of his weaker games this year. Tanev continues to impress.

Pretty decent article in the DnC today as well.

I agree that Sacred Heart played a good, road game. I thought RIT played a pretty average game. In the end, I think that RIT's talent won the day.

I think we need to incorporate more of the "we're going streaking!" audio clip. Very nice touch by the DJ last night. I say anytime we've won 4 or more games consecutively, we can use it.

The DJ has been using it all year as we come out onto the ice for warmups...usually the crowd is louder (with a bigger corner crew and more students), so that makes it harder to hear.

I have been to every game at the Ritter so far and didn't hear it until last night. Guess I'm too busy shouting to be able to hear it

RIT managed to hold on to first place. Sacred Heart I thought got into RIT's head a bit. If they keep it up, they could be back at Blue Cross in the AHA Frozen Four.

Sacred Heart definitely elevated their game this weekend. They could have very well won either of the games. I give them credit for playing a very high pressure, physical game.

That said though, No Trapp No Chance! :D

Have to disagree here buddy,

I was not impressed by the third period that RIT played, 11 minutes worth of penalties, 9 minutes worth of power play time by Sacred Heart. I was even less impressed by Sacred Heart. That game was their to win, and they gave it away. If you check the box score shots on goal in the third was 5-5. How do you have a 5 minute power play and two other 2 minute power plays and only get 5 shots. Horrible!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Horrible. I am going to not mention the name, but there one lines men RIT keeps getting that is beyond ignoring me at this point. He has had gross miss calles on Icing and Offsides in every game. Hope someone else is mention. As for the men with the Orange stripes, RIT earned a most of the penalties in the third, but they were still unacceptable.

How big is it having Brenner back, he is just money when you need a big goal...

That quote was after the first game. The second game is the one where RIT took those third period penalties.
