>>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

Las Vegas Hilton Odds to win NCAA Frozen Final:

Miami of Ohio Redhawks 7-2.
Wisconsin Badgers 5-1.
Boston College Eagles 6-1.
RIT Tigers 100-1.

...has potential to make some Tiger fan happy in more ways than one.

As I mentioned in another thread, I have $10 on RIT at the sportsbook at the Wynn casino (100-1 odds). Put the bet down a couple weeks ago in Vegas, before the AHA finals.

I agree. To us older folks and families, once those 1600 seats are filled (or reserved:rolleyes: ) it's a sellout and the game's no fun. That's the big problem.
Exactly, I've seen families wandering around, desperately looking for a seat. I think to myself: "This is their first game, and probably their last." I'm sure a lot is being left on the table due to the arena's size. 2,100 is people standing behind people, which is surely resulting in a fair number of unhappy fans.

And there's quite a few of us who have simply chosen to stand on the railings for the last 3 seasons or so. It's just easier than trying to find somewhere to sit. We already needed a bigger arena, now we REALLY need it.

Someone get the money and I'll start laying the foundation tomorrow myself. This needs to happen and soon.

How can one make a bet on-line? I have never place a bet outside a casino; maybe I'll have to stop at one in Detroit before the game on Thursday. :p

D&C: Do you want to be part of our RIT hockey Frozen Four special section in Thursday's editions? Send the Tigers your best wishes as they make their historic trip to Detroit. All submissions must include your name, address and daytime telephone number and be sent to sports@democratandchronicle.com and put "RIT hockey" in the subject line. The deadline for submissions is midnight tonight.

On the topic of ticket demand:

I regularly split my time between the local AHL team (Amerks) and RIT. This year, I'm thinking of buying a season ticket and just selling the tickets I don't use. I have a feeling this next season is going to be crazy with trying to find tickets. I've heard a ton of students already talking about buying a season and it's only April.

Oh, and Robach promises to fund an arena with the NC win.

I have a good feeling that people will be coming out of the woodworks to donate for a new arena. With as big as the program has gotten, I cannot imagine why someone would not want their name all over the arena. It's definitely always the place to be all season long.

RIT has a 31% chance of beating Wisconsin, and a 10% chance of winning the championship. I will take those odds any day. I just wish I remembered what they were to beat denver and UNH :/

Are boys better not be looking that sh*t. Numbers can poison the brain.

RIT HOCKEYbelongs here. That is all our boys need to know!

I could not agree more, lets just hope that happens!

They should have donation boxes around RIT and Park Point for a new arena. I would drop 20s through out the year.

Anyone know how many rows are in section 132? I know the students who waited in line started around the mid to upper 20s.

I would bet a couple of bucks he get the funding regardless of the out come :) The positives this has generated for the both the school and the Rochester area out weight anything else
