Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

I would bet a couple of bucks he get the funding regardless of the out come :) The positives this has generated for the both the school and the Rochester area out weight anything else
Agreed. It dawned on me how huge winning that UNH game would be late in that game, due to the media coverage that would ensue. And, it's been even more significant than I had expected. Regardless of the outcome, getting RIT in the sports spotlight for almost two weeks should go a long way for fundraising and the program's overall growth. With the institute getting a real sense for how big a run can be at the D1 level, I suspect they'll now work that much harder on supporting this program. I hope they have some magic left in them, and if they play the type of defense they played in Albany they won't make it easy on Wisconsin, but in many ways I see anything additional at this point as frosting on the cake -- what's already been done will have a long lasting impact on this program.

I was looking into some "tale of the tape" stats and came across the stat line of per player expenses. I was just wondering exactly what costs are factored in to determine this stat.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know that openings look unlikely at this point, but I hope RIT prepares an ECAC application this summer. You never know when the dominoes will start to fall.

If RIT had gotten in to the ECAC when they first looked at going DI they would be nowhere near a Frozen Four.

If there are going to be openings in conferences, it will be a major realignment in all the conferences.

Well I give Ed an A for his enthusiasm, no offense to Ed, but would have loved to hear Randy for this one...

Randy would have had a heart attack on the air. :D :D

I think we're exactly where we want to be...at least for the next 5-10 years.

Another RIT article. This one was in the Albany T-U

Best of luck tomorrow. I'll be wearing my brand new RIT Frozen Four T-shirt and watching the game on ESPN2.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

Bored at lunch today and spent a little time checking up on Tiger recruits. Looked at the scoresheet for the SouthShore Kings (Nolan Descoteaux) / St Louis Jr Blues game in the Tier III Jr Nationals. Saw a familiar name, Saracino. Checked further and turns out to be Chris's little brother Nicholas. A '92 birth date, 5'10"-175 forward. Maybe the start of a family tradition. Hope he wants to play with his brother. His '08-'09 line 19g 33a 52pts over 29 games. Stepped it up a little this year, 40g 60a 100pts over 46 games. Yeah, hopefully the Saracinos will be the next family dynasty at RIT...

28 hours til game time. I'm not working tomorrow, because I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time concentrating. Can't be in DetRoIT, but will be watching on ESPN2 and listening to WITR. Hope there isn't too much delay between the two.

Little Brothers have not worked out as much as we would have liked the past couple of years with the exception of the Bouranzakis brothers. All though I believe I have seen this Sacacino brother play, there was this High School or something similar game on FSN Midwest and it was being played at Scott Trade so it caught my attention. One of these players was Nick Saracino, which made me wonder at the time. He did look real good in that game...

great stuff, thanks for sharing. i think they had some fair criticisms and improvements, as well as a few great compliments. i think it would be great to see the crew as a whole grow next year out of the frozen four excitement. i would love to hear a few new (original) chants, and would also like to see a standing/cheering student section fill out the sections around the crew as well for ritter games.

They do a lot of talking about chants and what have you.

For those of you who don't get FSN North (Madison- Usually FSN North is out of Minny) Or haven't seen the Badgers play live, they have some impressive cheers/dances that almost the whole building gets involved in at the Kohl Center. It's pretty impressive, especially the sieve chant. Be prepared to hear the Varsity Wisconsin Song (U-Rah-Rah Wisconsin) sang in slow motion with most fans arm in arm, the other swinging and then swaying.

If you can parody:
Varsity! Varsity!
U-rah-rah! Wisconsin,
Praise to thee we sing!
Praise to thee, our Alma Mater,
U-rah-rah! Wisconsin!

R-I-T! R-I-T!
Hey you suck Wisconsin,
To your sieve we sing!
To your sieve, an empty netter,
Hey you suck Wisconsin.

I think I might have to record that and post it tonight.
