i'm there too. a ten minute drive to the TUC and having the day off of work already help this process significantly. as for seating, i am sure they are selling tickets by seats but unless it is really packed we can probably sit where we want. at the river rats games we always get our tickets and move to our section and never see any trouble from the staff. i will just go to where the most/loudest orange-clad people are.

The bookstore made shirts and hoodies to celebrate the regular season title in 2006; Do you think they'll make them this year for the AHA title? It's probably a little different now that it's run by Barnes and Noble, but I think there are a lot of fans who would be interested in buying them.

It also feels good to see RIT ranked #20 :)

USCHO shop sells tournament championship gear for every league BUT the AHA... once again no love for us :(

Hopefully RIT does something. I want something to mark this event :)

It's not USCHO's fault. It's up to the league who they license to sell their gear.

They've had regular season champion shirts for a couple weeks now, we'll see if they have tournament champion shirts.

Can someone explain the "+/-" stat to me? I figured that if you are on the ice when your team scores, that makes you +1. Or, if you are on the ice when the other team scores, you are -1. The box scores do not seem to bear this out. So how does it work?

You are correct, expect you only get a plus or minus for even strength or short handed goals. PPG do not count to the +/- stat.

Yeah it's pretty sweet when you consider 117 total points divided by 50 voters is ~2 1/3, meaning the average vote ranked them at #19

Got my tickets for Friday. :D

I also got mine today, in Section 108 hopefully that is the RIT Corner....

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

Still no word on the RIT ticket allotment. Have the WITR guys here heard anything. I'm holding off on purchasing online assuming that it would be nice to be with all the RIT folks. I thought I saw that any unsold RIT tickets had to be returned to the TUC on Weds. That really leaves tomorrow for sales.

Anyway, if anyone has a clue??? Otherwise I'll just go ahead and get them directly from the TUC.

Thanks.

Tom,

How did you manage to get tickets for that section. I've been trying the TUC website for the last hour and can't figure out how to tell it what section I want, Just select from "best available/Lower level/corner-endzones". Very frustrating......

Well worth the frustration though....:D :D :D

For those who were sitting in Babes in Utica after one of the last RIT-UC games at the AUD and talked with sshablak from Colgate. He said that DI would be lots of fun, and we'd really enjoy it. I for one wasn't so sure then. Who would have thought 5 years later the Tigers would be experiencing this.

Former Tiger Steve Coon is a D-III National Champion with the Norwich Cadets.

He was also selected to the All-Tournament Team. Nice to see that he prospered with a solid DIII hockey program.

117 points isn't sneaking in; that's a resounding ascension. We've never had more than 57 points before.

Nice to see a good discount and free busses for students. No help for me, but that's OK and now I know which section to get if I go direct with TUC.

Also, cool news about the first DI ranking (as someone around here predicted!!;) )
