>>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

My point, to those who apparently missed it, was that usually one would use the term "bulletin board material" when applying it to something said by your upcoming opponent. Last time I checked, coaches of other teams (especially those no longer in action) can say whatever they want. It probably won't make much difference to DU or RIT players once they hit the ice.

Bulletin board material is anything said that suggests you still have something to prove, or that your abilities are in doubt, or you aren't up to the challenge.

Denver Coach George Gwozdecky quite complimentary of RIT at his press conference today...

Boy, he's good.
He didn't even hint at anything RIT may be able to post on the bulletin board. Just as Coach Serratore, he didn't say anything that isn't true. But unlike Coach Serratore, he didn't in any way address any Pioneer advantages or Tiger weaknesses.
Unfortunately for RIT, if his players buy into the "Any team in the tournament can beat anyone else" philosophy he speaks of, it's going to be tough to pull off the upset. Let's hope they weren't listening ;)

So, is anyone *not* making the trip to Albany? Are there going to be any parties or get-togethers in Rochester to watch the big game on ESPNU-HD?

I noticed the Alumni Association is hosting a shindig at TC Riley's at Park Point -- anything else?

Oh, ye of little faith. If RIT plays as well as they did last weekend, they have a good chance to beat anyone in the country right now.

Picked up my tickets today at the field house. They actually scanned my "student" ID (which is really alumni but says student on it) so no cheap tickets for me.

The good news is my hotel is 1 block from TUC in downtown Albany so win or lose I won't have to drive anywhere to either celebrate or drown my sorrows :)

If you're talking about the Crowne Plaza, I would replace the word "good" with "bad". ;)

A fellow SLU fan like Got 6, I also wish good luck to the Tigers. My son and his girlfriend (both recent RIT grads.) were visiting this past weekend and busting on me, after I returned home from the ECAC playoff games in Albany, that, "we are in and you/SLU are out." All in good fun.

GO TIGERS!

Not to break up all the excitement for the game tomorrow, but a new recruit has popped up on the Heisenberg site

Ben Lynch

Lincoln Stars (USHL)
5'9 165#
09-10 56-14-16-30-28
08-09 59-12-14-26-20
07-08 59-10-17-27-46

He is currently second in scoring on the 'last place in the west division' Lincoln Stars. That last place position might go a ways in explaining his kind of scary -14 in +/-.

Burt was a -27 I think because the Gamblers stunk it up his last year there too so yeah I'd take that stat with a grain of salt

Yes. RIT has no days off until Spring Quarter ends in May.
With regards to Friday, the word from the school is that they're not allowed to officially cancel classes for the big game on Friday, however they encourage professors to allow students to make up their work if they are going to watch the game rather than attend class.
