Which "murder" are you referring to?

8. "well, when i went off to college, the guys i used to hang with were pumping gas and voting democrat. Today they're still pumping gas and voting democrat. Guess the democrats didn't do much for them."
Seems to me it depends. Do "all other black guys" disagree with the statements the one black guy made?
1. There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people's businesses, burning down police cars.
2. We have to be really careful with cops, because if it wasn't for cops we would be living in the wild, wild west in our neighborhoods.
3. We can't pick out certain incidentals (sic?) that don't go our way and act like the cops are all bad. Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn't for the cops?
4. Them j a c k a s s e s who are looting... those aren't real black people, those are scumbags. The real black people, they're not out there looting.
Cops are in power because we put them in power. We want them to be in power. We expect them to use the power. You think it's unjustified, or harassment. Fine, obey, but then fight the speeding ticket in court or file a harassment complaint with the school board or the state human rights department. You want to disobey, or mouth off, or tell the cop to eff off, or some other aggressive, non-compliant response, be prepared to pay the consequences.
Some of you people need a dose of the real world for some perspective.
A very close friend of mine used to be a deputy sheriff out of Fargo, ND. I casually mentioned to him one day that during the few occasions I had been pulled over by the police, I usually did them the favor of getting out of my car and having my drivers license ready for them when they approached, but on one occasion, when it was bitterly cold, and I was equally bitter for having been pulled over for barely exceeding the speed limit, I just waited for him in my nice, warm vehicle.and people have little idea of what might be lurking in wait for the police at any random moment. a few weeks ago in our town (a nice sleepy little small town in which most of the arrests are for shoplifting at Walmart), two police spotted a car that was reported stolen. they asked the person inside to get out. he did, and then assaulted them, and even though it was him against two, he was big enough and strong enough to injure both of them. eventually they were able to subdue him, at some personal risk of bodily harm.
if a routine traffic stop suddenly becomes life-threatening, in a sleepy small town like ours, then you have to wonder how difficult it must be for them to put up with "attitude" from the very same people they are sworn to serve and protect in a much more challenging environment.
This might be the funniest thing I have ever read on this message board.
Do tell.

I don't get this one. I understand why the Ferguson one went the way it did but this one makes no sense to me at all.No indictment for the NYPD chokehold officer.
Here we go again.

You have a lot of experience living in the "real world" of minority neighborhoods, going to houses in poverty-stricken areas and listening to people's stories and concerns, visiting schools and seeing text books that are decades old?
Please, share your wealth of experience in this regard.

It's OK for cops to kill people.
Now, go lecture China about human rights abuses.

Agreed. This one is hard to explain.
Will be interesting to hear the evidence.
