Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

Is it just me or does it seem like breweries that specialize in IPAs seem to make the rest of their beers with bitter hops or just a larger than normal amount of hops?

It's not just you. I've found that many (though not all) breweries that make good pales, don't do as well with the less hoppy styles. I've said this about Bell's here in Michigan for ages.

I picked up something from Harpoon... summer seasonal or something... supposed to be a Kolsch... my understanding is that most german beers... and most euros in general tend to go lighter on the hops... maybe they feel that its their own spin on it... I dunno.

Depends on the style. If you need to brush up on styles, I highly suggest this rather official guide. ;)

Amusing test abbreviation: "alcoho" - had to send one to HCMC tonight (the actual test is a volatile screen - looks for various types of alcohol in people's blood).

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

Nothing like a heavy breeze to wake you up in the morning. little blowy out this morning

MAN do the posts pile up in this here Lodge!

Isn’t this supposed to be one of those father son moments where the Dad shows you what to do????!!!

I didn't have to shave till I was about thirty-five, so we skipped that talk in my house growing up. :p

Lagavulin was an option....... Mmmmmmmmm smokey goodness. :)

In fact, the first time I had to shave was the morning after my first Lagavulin. Hmmmm.

Side effect of ibuprofen= GI distress. Just sayin'. Why do people thing IB cures all ills and WHY do the IB people not have to put on the label 'NOT for GI distress'? (and why am I complaining? This is good for cash flow in the office...)

Woke me up at 5:54. Sounded like a giant was tapping his fingers on the windows and walls.

'Morning, Kids.

2nd day in a row waking up to a fresh inch or 2 of snow. I know I live in Northern Minnesota, but this is getting absurd.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

Good morning Lodge.

Kids got up at 5:30. Made breakfast then played Candyland. Put together some puzzles. Went camping (we have a dome tent set up in the house). I am ready for a break...........

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all
