Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

hello loddg e. bye. little g

Hi, little g!! :)

Evening, Lodge. I got to put my education degree to use today--I drew up a lesson plan in the car to help teach kids at a north shore high school about form running. If nothing else, it seemed to impress the boss.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

I'm jealous of the booze. We have a few mini bottles.

I stopped at the gas station near the hotel to get some beer, and there was none. I didn't know there were places in Wisconsin that don't sell booze. How is that even possible?

Sad panda. :(

Still another 5 hours to drive tomorrow. Then hockey! :)

gmann... i was wondering about the whole sequence... how would they know if you didn't go out and buy park tix on your own (offer to buy at full price).... and why would they care if you ate in their restaurant... I'd think a hotel restaurant would want any living soul it can attract. But, hey, people are dumb.

Howdy Kids
Lost most of the remaing snow around here yesterday, should all be gone after the next few days. The most snow consistently on the ground, Dec thru April 6, I've ever seen since moving here. Compared to last year when we had none after the middle of January..

Hockey this afternoon and night, hope the game are competitive. I predict, Notre Dame and North Dakota move on

I guess that I am rooting for North Dakota, although it is ahrd to do, since they are the team that beat RPI.

BTW, only 177 days until RPI's exhibition game, probably against a Canadian school.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Brent: I hate you. :p I will drink a Baltika on your behalf on Saturday.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Pretty bummed the game got rained out last night, definitely COULD have been played, but I'm guessing they canceled since it is so early in the season. Ah well, I'll be back there most of next week (Tues, Weds and Thurs at the very least.)

Morning Lodge. Posting from the Wireless Center in Mankato. The wrong dam rink to be at today.

Regional conference today and my (current) firm is a sponsor. There'll be schmooze session this afternoon/evening that I need to be at, but I may be spending time schmoozing with my prospective future firm, who has a speaker here.

They probably wouldn't have known if we had attempted to buy tix or eat at their establishment. I would have tried and more than likely it would have worked. You are correct, in this economy a majority of hotels and especially restaurants are really suffering financially.

We would not have stayed in the room with a reduced rate for medical anyways. We wanted a suite with a deck overlooking Lake Superior and the only rooms available for this reduced rate were smaller rooms and the rooms were located in a separate building across the street from the main hotel. (w t f ??? real accomodating for families/people staying there for medical reasons). But since they dropped the ball right out of the gate we will never know what would have transpired had we stayed there. This hotel is not the only game in town. I ended up booking a room at another place that was more than willing to take my money for a suite at 4 nights.

Curse board for not letting us post pics in the polls!!
Don't suppose anybody would want to throw a link to the picture would they?

Sitting here bored at work. Nothing on the schedule today.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Hey there little g!

I know at least one person was trying to make this a reality but I'm guessing that, since I haven't heard otherwise, this won't be happening at this time. :(

Being 1300 miles away and not really knowing those involved outside of this forum made it very difficult for me to see it through. Maybe something can be worked out for next season?

It's the thought that counts. Seriously, thanks for even attempting to make this happen. Again, things happen for a reason. The g family would not have been able to make it anyways. As it turns out I will be in cityslickerville this weekend. However, it will be for business. I will be in Shakopee Saturday/Sunday meeting a client.

Have a great Frozen Four everyone! :)
I'm currently in the sky somewhere between Detroit and Los Angeles.
