Good news! I just got hired on the spot at my interview! :D Not a teaching gig, but pretty much a perfect fit for me at this point--a running store. :D

And, no, there will be no "Diva-dork" spawn any time soon. Jesus, that thought even scares me!! No, we set the date. June 23, 2012. :D
Woo!!!! Congrats 'diva!!!

Congrats! :) I've found the jobs seem to surprise me ... that something I wasn't looking for/interested in is the perfect fit (for a time, may not be a permanent solution, but is a positive one nonetheless).

Yay on the date!

While this is serious I got a chuckle from the headline. http://www.startribune.com/local/116598328.html

That will get you every time.... :D

It actually was pretty bad. One of the BU players' brothers plays for Curry and was in the hospital for two days. I was talking to his mother the day after it happened and she said how he called her at 3am and told her he was having difficulty breathing and by the time she got to the hospital the entire team had been admitted.

I knew it was bad but wow!
The headline was still funny. ;)

That gives Flashy 16 months to figure out how to go mudding.

Thanks, everyone! :D

do I see some triathlon apparel and wetsuits on your store's website? If so, I think a visit may be played the week of the Frozen Four (Quiz and I are trekking up to Ely on Wednesday, I believe).

That is cool though. You'll be qualifying for Boston before you know it, and I'll look for you at IM Arizona in 2013. :)

Yes, there is tri apparel there. And yes, you should come visit! :D
I believe they also mentioned something today about hosting a half-IM in the next few years. ;)

'diva, are you going to make Flashy celebrate your -1 year anniversary?

Please tell me that people don't actually do that.

The inlaws have decided to stay another night.

Are you stuck at the office and can't make it home? Am I bad for assuming they came out in a storm and 'accidentally got stuck' and can't leave? Is it really that bad or are they using it because they can't get you guys to engage anymore with their dysfunction and now you are a captive audience?
Such cynicism from a person who doesn't know them.

Seems like my first "brewing" attempt (Mr. Beer... nothing but extract) worked... I haven't tasted it yet, i assumed by the apartment temp fluctuations would be nasty... but it smells pretty good... suppose I should attempt to bottle it... I'm letting it settle before I taste test... then I'll bottle and put it back into the box while it carbonates.

I think this time next year, depends on where I am to a car and a house, I'll spend a few dollars invest in a real beer making kit and a fridge for fermenting.

We were in Bemidji this past weekend to watch BSU destroy cc. :) We left BJI early yesterday morning due to the potential of bad weather. (We left at 6AM) Inlaws called Mrs. g cell phone about 7 AM and asked us what we were doing for the day. Mrs. g said we have no plans and we don't want to make any because we have been gone all weekend and we just want to relax at home. Guess who showed up at our door an hour after we got home?

They knew that the storm was coming and they decided to visit us anyways. In fact, it was odd that for planning a day trip they had bags packed. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that my kids can hang out with their grandparents and such as that is very important. However, the environment is tense and uneasy. As much as I would rather not be around any of them I can deal with it. Mrs. g on the other hand has a tough time taking the high road.
