Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Morning Lodge. I blew out the drive and sidewalk twice yesterday, probably 13-14 inches. Had another couple inches this morning and it was misting on top of it. Just had to bust through the plow ridge to get out. Will call the kid later and tell him to clear the sidewalk, at least.

Have a breakfast meeting tomorrow with the headhunter and guy starting up a new office in town. Talked to another headhunter over the weekend about another position at a branch of a big national firm. Might be leaving this gig soon. Also lunch meeting today with a guy who wants to use our group to do some mech engineering for him - right now we're so buried we can't help him.

'Morning, Lodge!
No snow here in Dalooot, but wind is breaking road signs and wreaking havoc with the lift bridge.
In other news, after getting the FOAD e-mail from my last job prospect, I have another interview in about 45 minutes. This one would be a much better fit for me, and I tackle hugged FM after they contacted me to schedule the interview. :D
I also have some wedding related news, but I'm waiting to contact the family before I leak this to USCHO. :D :D :D :D

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Greetings Lodgeonians. At work today. No holiday here. It's snowing, but we're only supposed to get a couple of inches and the sun might be out later today. Took 25 minutes out of my morning to call Comcast. For some reason the new box I got had installed with the DVR with TiVo service has some sort of glitch. I usually turn the TV on when I go to bed and set the timer with the TV's remote so it shuts off on its own after I fall asleep. Well, the next night I was able to turn the TV on, but couldn't do anything else. Couldn't change the channel, couldn't go to OnDemand or the DVR. Called them last Thursday night and blew up at them as I had to speak to 5 different people before I got one technician that was trained to service that type of box. Had to unplug it to restart it. That helped, but the same thing has happened four times more so I had to schedule an appointment for a technician to come and swap out the box. Pain in the ***.

No meetings today - how did that happen???

You don't really think she is having pre-marital sex do you?

I'm sure she's as pure as the driven snow. Of course, being an NMU girl, we all know that's an impossibility. ;)

diva: loved your rep. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Funny thing is, skinny girls don't necessarily have small babies. One of my coworkers just gave birth to a 9 lb 7 oz girl and is as slender as it gets.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Turned on the TV when I got on the treadmill this AM, got "searching for satellite signal." Had to go out and wade through the drifts to clear the snow off the dish. Glad it's on a post on the ground instead of the roof.:D

So now we learn the real reason that 'diva is partaking in chocolate milk as of late. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Good morning all!

Working today, no holiday here either. First time in weeks I think I might be able to get out of work on time without feeling guilty. Plus Mr. Hit got home last night, so how could I possibly be in a bad mood today? :)

Took Miss Wiggle to her first hockey game on Saturday night at Quinnipiac. Didn't see MEUSA, but we did have a good time. And we somehow managed to avoid blowing away in the wind tunnel that Quinnipiac calls a walk way back to the parking garage. We were 2/3rds of the way back to the garage when a security guard told me that next time I go to a game with Miss Wiggle, to ask for a ride back to the garage from security. The weather was bad enough I wish I had known that before I tried to walk with her. Oh well, we both were fine.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Good morning Lodge.

Not sure how much snow fell in 320land last night. As of 10 PM we might have had an inch or so. I am guessing about 8 - 10 inches fell over night. I had some big drifts in front of my garage and on my driveway. A couple drifts were close to 5'.

I would have stayed home today except for one small detail. The inlaws. The inlaws stopped by yesterday afternoon (unexpected) and decided to spend the night due to the weather. Slight chance they will spend the night again as the weather is still nasty. Yeah me!
