Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Would you like me to bring anything? When do the doors open?

Chez Rube is open right now. I don't have any pop, though. For N/A drinks, I have iced tea (and the usual Juicy Juice and milk, of course). Also have a couple bags of snacks.

We probably won't watch the whole game here, as it's an 8pm start.

You're going to watch Lean On Me?

:p

They had the first period of the alumni game between the flames and canadiens on the outdoor ice, then they went to ottowa at Toronto. They had a tribute to the troops with 4 Canadian armed forces members repelling down from the roof, a few big mucky mucks come out on the ice, and then told the fans to sing the anthem.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

First time in two weeks at that Happy Hockey Table. Damm, I forgot where it is! Does anyone have directions? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

:Slides into the usual seat:
Chocolate milk please.
:checks the scores:
:sees NU beat BC:
:Trots over to the HH table:
Chocolate milk please. Finally a team I wanted to win pulled it off.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

I need a ruling on tie games. Normally I would go to the happy hockey table, but it was Brown which makes me want to go to the * hockey table. What do the rep elders say?

I believe SOP is to order from the Happy Hockey Bar, but sit at the * Hockey Bar.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Go with what you feel. Me- I would go to the HH table, just to see if it still exsists.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

It better exist. If not, I'd love to know just where I'm sitting.

If you're happy with tonight's results, sit at the happy hockey table. If not, you go to the other one.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

I'm at the HH Table, no martini though. Maybe a glass of wine. Four points and I should be thrilled. Yet I'm not.

I'd blame it on the car. Brakes at 30k is comical. Assuming that most cars are similar, they don't even need to be checked until you hit 60k miles.

Tires at 30k is also a bit nutty unless the car came with low-end crap.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Did you finally get your ride back?

Yes, $1900 later. And I need to bring the laptop in to Best Buy now. I think something is wonky with my wireless card. I've had some issues here not connecting to my router when I turn the laptop. Nothing major. I tried to use my laptop at my parents' house with the new computer set up and it worked initially, then I couldn't get it to work. My work laptop had no problem, neither did my iPhone. It's working OK now. I may hold off heading back to Best Buy as I have things to do tomorrow and really don't have the time.

Not according to the mechanic, especially given the fact I do a lot of city driving.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

I'd love to know how you rang up a $1900 bill on a car with 30K on it. This doesn't pass the smell test. What the hell are you driving?

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

I guess I'll sit at the happy hockey table, considering the Sioux will probably be #1 by Monday
