Well, ****. I believe I have a date Saturday night. And its not even with one of the stalkers!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

The first day back from tax season is supposed to be a stress-free one. So what do I have to deal with today? A 10.5 hour day. If I ever meet the banker who dumped this **** on us, I'm going to hit him so hard with a shovel, his grandkids are going to have migraines for a month. This was bull****.
It could be worse Hammer, trust me.....

That being said, guess I might as well let this cat out of the bag now....

Last week my father filed for divorce from my mom. Its been a long time coming, as they haven't gotten along at all for the past 10 plus years. Hell, the last time I can even recall them being in the same vehicle together was back during my graduation from GVSU in 2005. Dad pretty much sounds like he just wants out of here. he's looking for some place to stay at, and hopefully, they'll end up being mature enough adults that it will work out where mom gets to keep the farm here. Really hoping that's the case here now. Mostly right now its a waiting game while they figure out what they're doing next. I really doubt Dad is really going to contest for the farm here, biggest sticking point will be alimony I think, along with his retirement benefits which will be an issue in the very near future for him as I doubt that he's going to be able to work much longer for GM. Another round of buyouts and he just might jump on whatever offer they hand out I think.

No, she's much cooler and better looking than Brent. :p Hell, Brent might even agree with that!

Might be better looking, but no one's cooler than me! :p

Some of us know who his date is, too. Who knows? Maybe she'll get to, uh, wear the Neat Hat on Saturday. :D

First track meet today. Cold and rainy, of course. I dressed for it, but my hands still got cold. Kid quit soccer this year which was great cause it seemed most tournaments were like that, now the track meets are the same deal with less action to watch.

Less action? Were you even paying attention?? I had friends/significant others/family members comment that meets were like a freaking 3 ring circus and they weren't sure where or what to watch.

Yikes. Sorry to hear that, Monster. :(

I believe it's jogging or yogging. it might be a soft j. I'm not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

Eck, sorry to hear that monster. Having dealt with that recently (past 14 months, divorce went through 2 months ago) it certainly isn't fun, but as you said, hopefully they will be able to sort things out civilly and not be dramatic about it.

Had an assessment day in our simulator at work. Won't find out how I did until tomorrow, but I feel pretty good about it. First step towards getting my promotion if all goes well!

Jr throws shot and discus - out in the boonies away from the other action. Dam boring, especially at middle school level where there are few kids who know what the hell they're doing. I'm trying to convince him to try some middle distance events so he'll be more involved with his other teammates and he doesn't invest all that time for 6 throws (three each event). He's running much better now then he did a couple years ago so he should be able to do something else.
