My week is going great... Root canal tomorrow am... Going to try to play kickball tonight... No real non-family socializing since last thursday excepting meeting bbdl. I want to do something badly and my weekend is falling apart.

More drama. Got to work- I am in charge- One of the staff had a parent get a bad diagnosis last night (we were sort of ready for it). She needed to leave early (she was covering the evening) to go to the appt where they are going to discuss the plan for Rx. This we can handle. Then the other NP (who is covering the evening session) passes out- feels sick and ends up in an exam room prone. After some down time manages to see a few more pts. End of the night I am holding her head over the bowl as she heaved waiting for her hubby to come get her because she keeps getting near syncopal and can't drive. While this is happening the lab guy knocks on the back door- they didn't put out the labs into the bin. Panic ensued as I tried to find the said samples (Thank God he knocked!!). I am home now. Feel like I am in a fog and still have to chart. Bed early for me.

The first day back from tax season is supposed to be a stress-free one. So what do I have to deal with today? A 10.5 hour day. If I ever meet the banker who dumped this **** on us, I'm going to hit him so hard with a shovel, his grandkids are going to have migraines for a month. This was bull****.

Crap. One of my favorite bands to see at TK's is going to Nashville to give it a go. Good for them, but I'll miss their shows.

First track meet today. Cold and rainy, of course. I dressed for it, but my hands still got cold. Kid quit soccer this year which was great cause it seemed most tournaments were like that, now the track meets are the same deal with less action to watch.

I don't mind my job. Sometimes it sucks, but more times than not I'm enjoying what I'm doing, which is more than some people can say, so I won't complain. Plus I love the perks, this was the 3rd night in 4 that I've had a steak that I'm not paying for and I'm piliing up the free hotel nights and flights from all of my travel.

More weather on the way here, and we have our comprehensive test tomorrow...awesome timing. After tomorrow though, classroom work is done and it's all labs from here on out...WOOOOOO....
