i got a German phrase of day calendar as a gift from someone who knew that I was studying German since I retired. Today's phrase is "Sie kommen mir bekannt vor." (You look familiar.)

Landed early, in the shuttle van on the way to the hotel. Rush hour traffic, boo.

Checked work email. Someone took forever to send me something for review, needs approval by end of week. Sorry, I'm on vacation. It's really hard to review something on a BlackBerry. Too small. Oh well.

Who am I kidding? I'll probably review it. Will wait till I am poolside with a beverage though.

Welcome to the beautiful weather! Been a few exceptional days so far, supposed to cool down a bit the next few days, but will hopefully still be beautiful.

Trying to figure out what I want to do tonight.

I started on that at the baseball game, maybe I'll go find some trouble out on Dale Mabry or something, who knows.

It would be nice if my customer knew what they are doing, so I can actually get my work done, instead of flying down here 3 times and having their **** not work correctly.

First two days of information (I now know 2,437 ways to get fired from the FAA...some of the ways people have gone out are mind-bogglingly stupid) and more testing down. Now we get into the learning how to do our job stuff.

5:00 is going to come early.

After experiencing that, I swore to myself that even if it took my last dollar, my kids would experience that torture. As it is, I promise my nieces will go through that hell. It's a rite of passage.

Lotsa booze and sun today. It is still early, but I must go to bed. Two days in a row of rum, beer, beer, beer, rum, rum, beer all whilst under that blazing fireball has tuckered me right the eff out.
