Curling, hockey, bobsled, and short track speedskating for me. (Mmm Womens short track - there is a candian gal who I'm still enamored with after seeing her in 2003 :o Shame she had to give up the sport after the World Cup in MQT that year)

I highly, highly doubt it will be televised, but I'd like to catch biathlon. Curling, Hockey, bobsled, luge, skeleton, and some of the skiing events will probably be my focus. I won't be able to record the opening weekend, as I'll be home and won't bring my TV card with me, but the rest of it I'll be setting up recording.

If one of you tech geeks has any upload space you know of, I would be willing to upload everything for viewing later on if there is interest. The issue is it would be HUGE files. (I think it's generally 1.6 gigs per hour at the quality I record. I could lower the quality, however. Right now I've got 418 hours at "good" quality, I can get 490 hours at "fair" quality.)

Actually, biathlon is being televised (sometime within the first few days). The US has a chance to win a gold, so they're showing it. (NBC has a great display of what's being televised when.)

Biathlon. A friend is a coach in the Twin Cities, and so I watched it during the last Olympics, just to see what was up. I got hooked!

Wow, awesome. Today's weird fact: had I got into skiing at an early age, there is a great chance I would have left high school to go to National Sports Academy in Lake Placid for Biathlon, seeing how I participated in rifle through high school, and would have had that part down.

And the gub'ment always sends me a big check. I know it's technically dumb, and it's my money to begin with, but I'd rather have that than getting that extra pittance every week. :o

I don't even have my W2 yet. Should be getting a pretty nice refund though, which is a down payment on my new car when I get to Palinland.
