Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Well I can't argue with that...if her parents gave her more for school than what she benefits from claiming herself, it sucks but thats the way it is...

Exactly. It was about 5 minutes of cursing and then the moment of clarity. Still, I am rather excited to get a full, non-dependent return this year, even if it really won't be that much. (Hopefully, enough to help with that month's expenses and have a little to play with at the F5!)
And Gonzo: that's hardcore, but good on you and Mrs. for sticking to your guns.

I've checked stubhub, but we'll see. They're usually overpriced. I found some better deals on ebay last night. I think I'll avoid craigslist for this one...:p

go check out fansnap.com, its like the kayak for tickets. It searches a bunch of other sites and tells you what the best deals are including ebay. Looks like the best deal is about $301 a ticket including handling at razorgator.com

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

It is official. I have just booked a flight and rental car on Priceline. There was a good package deal on Priceline this morning, ~$380 per person for a flight and car, but with the standard Priceline catch that you can't choose your flight times. CHA and I decided to wait to see about getting tickets to the game before booking the flight, then at about 10:30 the price of the package went up to $500. We decided that we should book before the price goes any higher, luckily I went through and searched the exact same thing again, just before buying, and the price showed up as the original $380. So I booked it right away at the lower price. :D :D :D

Now we need to find a hotel and get tickets to the game....any lodgers have Saints tickets on their hands?

I read that first as you were booking a flight on Priceless. I didn't realize that he could fly. ;)

Oh, and as I'm sure every member of the Lodge already knows: shoot outs are stupid. I witnessed my first "CCHA is a messed up conference" post game event on Saturday.
Sorry I missed that, but I was still kinda tied up saturday. How tied up?? Well, how about getting your toenails in front of your face to wear you can see what a crappy job of trimming them you did a while back kind of tied up. :o

I read that first as you were booking a flight on Priceless. I didn't realize that he could fly. ;)

When did Priceless and his rotten head become capable of flight?

Haters wanna hate, lovers wanna love.
I don't even want none of the above I want to pee on you.
Yes I do I'll **** on you I'll pee on you.
:p

Mental note: avoid this guy if you go to the FF

I have that bookmarked, so I can read it more. Quite funny and a great find by Twitch.

Chris Kluwe should pull an Ochocino and have his name officially changed to Chris Warcraft...his commercial would be so much cooler than Mr. T's ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

You know what makes me excited? This is the first year that I wasn't claimed as someone's dependent. Last year, my parents pulled the cheap shot and claimed me (the only assistance they provided was tuition while I student taught and help on my deposit for my new place after I left RC), and it took my return from over $300 to $28.

my parents did that to my sister she was royally ****ed... she ended up owing a bit if i recall.

edit: actually, I think my father did it to the both of us... but I made $9K with tutoring at UML and a single semester of TA work at UConn.... my sister was working on two movie projects so she made a bit more than i did at the same age timeframe.
