Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 97: ways to train a dragon

Hi kids, happy Friday. Feeling a bit better. Am going to try and make it to Providence for BU's game tonight. Wearing my red, drove in, brought my ticket. But if I feel like crap later this afternoon, I may just go home. The game is on TV. But I'm pushing myself to go and root since ASaaG refused to help me out in rooting for BU this weekend (well, tonight). So, if I have a relapse, it's on you ASaaG. :p

Good morning Lodge,
Glad to have woken up to see that account was banned. I understand it was a joke at first and I went along with it the first night by seemingly blowing it out of proportion. But after the joke fades and there's an understanding that I do not enjoy the nickname it become harassment.

Anyways, may you all have a merry hockey day.

I am confused. (So what else is new?) I thought that this was all about Dorkisak, but he isn't banned http://board.uscho.com/member.php?u=43876. Whom did you mean?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 97: ways to train a dragon

* you. :mad: :(

I'm thinking there's some rule against using actual broomball shoes. I could be wrong though. And yes, I play in sneakers. And the not falling idea is pretty unrealistic :p I think I should just invest in elbow pads. :p

There is a rule, special shoes and no modifications.

haha, yup, theres a rule for that  Silly college intramural leagues with silly rules. On another note, god **** you guys have like 500 teams. I knew it was a big (biggest?) IM sport, but geez.

But if that was the case, shouldnit it say "banned" under his user name? At least that used to be the case.

Broomball is serious business. Well it's 220 teams and I would say about 1500 or so students play the game. You're also allowed to check unlike most other broomball leagues.

The likelihood of me ever managing to check is pretty slim.
Though, Flashy, you'll be glad to hear that I moved a lot better and was much more aggressive in my game on Wednesday. Had about 5 or 6 shots on goal. Yes, that was against women, but still. :p

Don't fall, and you won't get bruises. AmIRightorAmIRight? Although you silly college kids probably play in sneakers like silly college kids do. Broomball shoes FTW.
broomball shoes sound lame. Part of the fun is falling and watching others fall. I think my favorite shirt from college is my broomball championship shirt. IM championship shirts are easier to win when competing in the women's league (did that freshman year). Other years a few female friends and I were on the Solar Car broomball team which played in the men's league because we couldn't recruit enough women to play co-ed.

Anchorage sweep! Anchorage sweep!
As long as UA_ loses.

Oh, you can still fall with broomball shoes depending on ice conditions.

That does sound like an awesome time though, with full contact.

Not too many people get Martin Luther Kang Day off. ;)

I'm glad someone else posted that. :o

It really is awesome. Kind of annoying when you get to play the football team's broomball squad though, and they decide their easiest way to win is by injuring all of your players.

Morning, Lodge. Going up north today, as the lady friend has her senior recital tomorrow and I'm pretty sure she'd kill me if I wasn't there. ;)

that's cause most people in Michigan have no idea how to skate. ;)

Dorkisak is still better then harry sak

I've seen more people get hurt in more ways on a broomball rink then I care to mention. A couple years ago the local hospital threatened to go to the school and make them shut down broomball because of all the students they were getting.

We actually had to put in a removable board so that EMS could stretcher on and off the ice. I personally suffered what I am almost sure was a mild concussion.

In short broomball @ MTU is awesome and I wouldn't trade it for any other sport in the world.
