when I was younger, I was in such a hurry to grow up. Now that I'm older, I wish I'd have enjoyed my childhood a bit more.

Good morning Lodge! It's Frozen Fenway Day today! Or rather Night, as the game is at 7:30. It's lightly snowing at the moment. I hope it stops. Temp was hovering around the freezing mark this morning, it's supposed to drop tonight. Should make for an interesting game-watching experience.

Denver resumes WCHA play tonight by hosting Alaska-Anchorage in the first of a two game series. The Pioneers had a terrific weekend in winning the Denver Cup by posting victories agaisnt Nebraska-Omaha and Boston College last weekend.

In the third period Denver overcame 2-0 and 3-1 BC leads, posted four goals and skated to an impressive win.

Earlier in the season Denver split a series in Alaska while showing some shaky goaltending with Adam Murray in net due to an injury Marc Cheverie suffered against Mankato. No word as to whether Murray--a native of Anchorage--will start either game this weekend against the Seawolves, but my own uninformed guess is that the will. I hope the Pioneers don't "sleepwalk" through this series after their brilliant late-game effort versus the Eagles last Saturday night.

I hope you get to see your favorite team in action this weekend and that you enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation. Good morning to all.

BBDL, I take it you'll be at the Gophers-Flickertails games next week. One or both? My kid is going with a teammate and his dad Friday (company party for me) but we'll all be there Saturday.

I drink whisky/whiskey all the time and rarely have any illness or coughing. So you should just make a habit of drinking it as a precaution.

Plus it tastes great! But if you like you can chase it with cola or mix it with ginger ale.
