Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

In the majority of my classes, it was 92-100 for an A, 84-91 for a B, 76-83 for a C and 70-75 for a D. Anything below that was a F. And in one, it was a 94-100 for an A.

Tech at one point was at least as brutal. I saw some old pledge info forms for my fraternity from the 60's. Back then a 2.5 was probably good for top 10 percent in your major, and a good chunk of people were in the 1's.

January 1st was pretty great. 2010 has sucked since then. I miss '09 already.

I hope everyone else is having a better year so far.

Yeah but what about all those 6 and half year old Gopher fans who have lived their whole life without seeing their team win the championship? :D

Over the last couple of years some times when I would start bi7ching about the Yankees (yes I'm a Yankee hater and I have no problem admitting it) people would stop me and say something like well they haven't won a championship in 8/9 years. I would immediately say oh man I really feel sorry for those 7/8 year old kids who have lived their whole life without seeing their team win the championship. Man that's got to be rough. Well thankfully the Yankees won the World Series last fall so these kids can stop living their whole life in agony.

This is why I totally understand why other fans hate the Gophers and give us no sympathy.

There he is...the voice of reason. :)

Embrace the hate and laugh at it.

Good evening, Lodge!

I've made the move to Colorado Springs, although the rest of my clan is still in West Texas until I buy a house here. New job has begun (teaching starts tomorrow AM), and life is busy for now.

Now it's Boddington's Pub Ale time. Have a good night all, and I'll see you in the next thread.

WARNING:
REALLY LONG POST
ctf, go to class and learn how to study. I had to learn how to study when I got to college. For me, that just meant doing the assignments and maybe a practice exam or two...but that was far more than what I was used to doing in high school.
This might be shocking to you guys, but I already started reading and doing some assignments :p That's definitely the thing for me though, I never had to study or anything in high school.

ctf, you should be punched in the head. Or go to college at a respectable age. Get you *t together you dumb cooter. *** is wrong with you? You come in here being like "I'm so smart I didn't have to go to kindergarten" then you say you have around a 1.0 GPA. Good job, that's just terrific. How can you even get a 1.0 GPA? Did you fail like 4 classes or something? I don't even know HOW to get an F in a class. And don't give me that crap about "oh Tech is harder than most schools." BS. In the majority of my classes, it was 92-100 for an A, 84-91 for a B, 76-83 for a C and 70-75 for a D. Anything below that was a F. And in one, it was a 94-100 for an A. Work harder and spend less time posting on USCHO. Or partying. Or drinking. Or smoking. Or *king Painted Bandit. You know what? Until you get off of academic probation, I'm just going to call you Foxton2. Because you're dumb as a post and might as well get a sex change. Good day, Foxton2.
Thank you. And I say that in all seriousness. The other day, when I said you have good advice, I wasn't kidding. You seriously know how to get to me (in a good way) and make me think.

Whoa, did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
See above.

I do have one question for you. Do you want to serve pasties in the UP for the rest of your life? I have no doubt you're capable of so much more. It's up to you. :)
You're like the nice version of Sloe Vag. :) Thanks, CHA.
And no, I'm fairly certain I don't. :p
no, I'm just trying to motivate Foxton2.
Thanks again. ;)
Maybe she should be next to be hammerpunched. It isn't Christmas anymore.
Way to go, dooshwad. :p
why sugar coat it? Her performance in college is absolute horse*t and she think she can get by simply because she skipped kindergarten. She might as well gear up to be a lackey under the Lodge Forklift Jockey or to be Bakunin's housekeeper.
I think I'm better suited staying in college.
Well I'm glad none of you know the background of my college education, seeing that you're all b****ing about ctf's ONE bad semester. Although I do give some of you credit for the constructive criticism/advice.
However, while it's one bad semester, I know many people who have had one lead to two.
I believe she asked for it.
Yup.
And he said what we were all thinking...except he's a dick. :)
Nope, seriously, he just knows how to embed something in my thick skull. I really don't take the advice of many people, but I often take his.
no, I'm just not afraid of hurting people's feelings and don't really care if people think I'm mean for speaking the truth. The truth hurts and she needs to hear it.
Again, yup.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

You're bringing all your Gortex and Thinsulate right?

:D

You're headed for Lake of the Woods? Keep us posted and we'll do the same as we head out.
I don't bring anything anymore. I even forgot to bring gloves last year.
