Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I had a friend in high school who got rejected from SCSU. After a year at Auggie Tech (Augsburg), one of our other friends said to him, "Apply to UND and come to school with me. All you need is a pulse." :)
I know a guy that I graduated high school with got into MSU-Moorhead with a 12 on his ACT's.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

What does one do to get on academic probation? I think I studied for about 3 classes in the 5 years I was at SCSU and my GPA at the end was 3.20. Honestly, how does anyone think they're going to get any good grades if they don't even go to class? Or read the book?

One class I took, and the counselor agreed, I shouldn't have taken. It was Political Studies, taught by a pure by-the-book hippie liberal. Needless to say, I didn't do so well on that one. But otherwise I agree.

I took a class on some sort of engineering during my sophomore year. I got two Ds and an F on the tests, but got a C in the class because I actually went every day.

I got an A in Bowling. :D

That was a fun class. Two classroom sessions, to "learn the rules," and then the remaining classes were at a bowling alley to get good at bowling. In other words, have a couple brews and go roll a ball. :D

Now, I normally don't come here to ask for refills, and I'm not now. I just wanted to ask for maybe one of the patented Lodge jihads. This was a reply to me in the BC-Denver game thread. You can go to the thread to see what transpired. Basically, he trash talked when BC was winning and Denver fans called him on it after the game, thinking he was a BC fan. I corrected them. He's a BU fan. Except he never has anything good to say about BU. I've already negged him but since the game is over, there probably won't be any more traffic there and I am really not in the mood to let this sit.

hard to tell the context of the reply with the ***s. he could have said he "loves arlington trash" with an entirely different meaning. you have been edgy since the whole 'mess left in my storage space and the guy didn't ring me to clean it up' episode....;)

Generally, it's a semester GPA below 2.0. Come in under 2.0 again while on ac pro and you're suspended for a semester.

As I mentioned, at a school like Tech it's extremely easy to do if you have a loaded semester.

Possible. Why don't you post and ask him for me? Seriously.

Mine was basically a rhetorical question. If you go to class, you have a much better chance of passing than if you don't go.
