Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I'm going to agree with this assessment.

I try to take the Martin Brodeur approach to hockey games - I have no 'rituals' and no superstitions, I just accept what happens and attempt to move on.

I think the only superstitions I have are what jersey I wear (wear the same one to Wolves home games until they lose); Generally the same NMU sweater to games since it has the best record of the team winning when I wear it; and that our friend Kristen is 5-1-2-0 at NMU game's we've dragged her to. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I had an awesome time last night hangout with high school classmates that I haven't seen in years. What a great group of friends. Yet another reason to stay in the Twin Cities.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

If Tech fans buried or burned all the clothes they've worn duing Tech loses all Tech fans would be left with no clothes and would have to go to games naked.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY wants to see that.

There are a couple of female fans. Not to mention a couple of attractive males..

Sooooo anywayyyyys...
I'm friends with this chick on Facebook. Her name is Michelle 'Mitch'. The reason I'm friends with her is she's interested in being on my Rugby team.
Well, I do a little more investigating, because her status said something about working at the DT.
Turns out, she's an alum of my sorority (still living in the area, graduated last year.
I do a little more digging... look at her pictures....
It's Quasi!!!!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

fans wear clothes. players SKATE NAKED.

whoa. I need to settle down ...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Be proud folks, we chanted "F-ck you Sparty!" at the Post Bar after an unreal amount of boozing. The Sparty fan girl at the bar punched me for it. Girls are fun when they flirt that way.

Nice.

I just got home with $240 worth of pudding. Should be a good night! :D

...this is where you explain the rest of this...

If Tech fans buried or burned all the clothes they've worn duing Tech loses all Tech fans would be left with no clothes and would have to go to games naked.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY wants to see that.

Well, I've been going to a lot of Tech games...

Safely back in TC. My house is all decked out for our "Big Fat Redneck New Year". It's going to be awesome and hilarious.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Wow. That's special. I mean, I was cheering for RPI, too...but WITH the RPI fans doing THEIR cheers.
Yeah, that was cool being with the RPI crowd tuesday night, Too bad we couldn't do that last night.

I just got back from the hospital after picking up the CD with my MRI test to take to Dr. Barker. I also got a printout of the last two radiology reports. There are a lot of big words but the bottom line: The tumor hasn't remained the same size.

It's actually shrinking. :)

In my first MRI last February it was still 2.1x2.1x2.2cm (9.7 cubic centimeters). By June it had shrunk to 2.2x2.2x1.4cm and now is down to 2.2x1.9x1.2cm (5.02 cubic cm). This is better news than I had dared hope. If it continues to shrink I'm wondering if it might be possible to just nuke it and avoid a second surgery. That's beyond my wildest dreams, and I think given its location surgery may still be needed...but maybe. I am reminded of Gene Hackman in Hoosiers when he tells the team, "That's beyond your imaginations...let's just keep it there."

It's been a long time since I've had really good news. I've been unsuccessfully holding back tears of joy since I read this report.
Groovy dude!!!

Twitch just....didn't MNS.

But it took some convincing by his fellow posters to make it happen...
Twitchboy actually talked to a group of females for over 5 minutes. I am impressed.
Monster is playing with twitch's wiener.
:p Diva needs to post that picture....
Thats a classic example of too much information
:p
I was earlier, I sobered up. Tomorrow will bring more, but as per house rules for New Years, I will have to stay far below SENANICANS level.
Pity you 2 were weinies and didn't go to the Post Bar. What a great crappy hole in the wall bar. :D

That must have been after I left. I wanted to stay longer, but it was bit of a hike home for me, and the snow did make 94 a bit slick. :(

JFC. You should have been on 75. Passable in parts, absolute **** in others.

When I hit Saginaw County, however, it was a whole new ballgame. You see, their road commission has decided that they are not working any overtime or off-shift hours. Pretty much glare ice from there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I thought that you decided not to join a sorority. Did I miss something?
IIRC, she essentially "suspended" her pledging. She'll pick it back up and finish at a later date.
Dang Twitch, you're good. Exactly what he said. Though, I only have a week left of pledging. :p
Once my grades are up again, I'll complete it. Until then, I'm like an active member, minus voting rights, and the ability to wear letters.

And there's no last call. Win.:)
So the Lodge will never open its doors and let us out into the world?

notice how attractive and female aren't in the same sentence there?
Touche, however, I happen to know of a couple of attractive female Tech fans. Come on, HF, MEg, and I aren't all that bad, are we?

Wait. Are we the only 3 female Tech posters?!? (not including mel & 'diva, of course)

Thanks, and to Twitch too.

I don't think that RPI has ever had a female student post while she was a student. In addition, I can only think of one female alum who posts on occasion. (She played on the women's team back when it was D-III.) We do have other female fans who post, including currently the mother of a recruit.

So they simply insist on doing the bit with the donkey and chocolate frosting, huh?

I kid, I kid. I've never heard of a Greek org allowing someone to "suspend" pledging like that. It's a terrific idea, especially at the stressfest that is Tech, and I wonder how many other organizations would do something like that.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

So, knowledgeable Lodge. Question. In your opinion, does it benefit a college student to live away from their parents?
