Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Priceless's hatred of the Vikings: Apparently he a little messed up being bothered by a team that can't ever win a championship

It's all Favre's fault. Before this season I didn't give a crap about the Vikings :p

Priceless's hatred of the Gophers: Clearly a sign of jealousy

I don't have to be jealous of the Goofers, I have a ring...and I think we beat the Goofers on the way to get it...let me check the inscription...yep, Maine 6 Minnesota 2 :p

Priceless's love of politics: Yawn boring

I haven't been posting in the political threads much lately. There's very little point to it :p

Having Priceless around to talk and joke with: Priceless

I'm really glad to hear the news. :)

Thanks. It's about as good as I could get. The best would be if it just up and vanished on its own :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Of the college hockey arena I've been to Matthews and Hobey Baker where probably my favorites. I love old arenas.

Fenway and Wrigley are my two favorite baseball parks.

Hobey is a great rink, no doubt about it. It's nice that they are beginning to get some fans to games now, but a lack of a student section is still too bad, it would make the environment even better.

If you get a chance, Appleton (SLU) is another old barn that is a great place to see a game. Ideally, get to a SLU/Clarkson game, as thats when the experience is really top notch. Cheel (Clarkson), while much newer/modern, is also a great environment to see a game. From what I've been told though, Clarkson's old rink (Walker Arena) was even a couple steps above, and could really get rocking on a good night.

Dentist appointment went well today, "Beautiful, excellent teeth," now just waiting to see what my wisdoms want to do, as they "may or may not" cooperate. No issues so far with them, hopefully they don't act up.

I really enjoyed Hobey Baker rink but yeah not alot of fans. There were alot more fans at the regular season high school game I went to last week which is sad. Come on Princeton fans "For the love of Hobey" your team was actually good last season.

I've heard alot of good things about the North Country. Hopefully I'll make it there one of these years. Ideally for a home and home series between Saint Lawrence and Clarkston. There is never enough time to do everything.

Ya, unfortunately the NJ ivies don't really take to the icerinks much, they're more roundball and pigskin fans. Too bad, but I still always enjoy going there.

The past couple years they have done a home and home. They have also began doing a NC game or 2 for increased revenue, since its essentially a home game for both teams with no travel involved really. I wasn't able to make any of the 3 games they played this year because of being at school, but I've made atleast one almost every year since I started going to games.

Poor #26 Union couldn't get past UMASS tonight... it's a shame, really. ;)

BTW are you the SLU fan I met at the SLU game at Vermont in December of 2007. The SLU fan I met at the game said he posted on USCHO but I forgot what his username is. I've met alot of posters and I have a poor memory for names. :o

Left my work shoes back home

Nothing I can't survive... the Census Bureau has to be easily the most casual DC area gov't work place... still not happy though.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

I just got a call from the doctor's office. They have the results from my MRI and the tumor hasn't changed since last time. :)

w00t!

Had a talk with my boss who was not of the same mind or attitude of the office manager. She was pretty ripped about what was said/happened. Surprisingly even my colleague who I usually could happily tell to play in traffic was terrific. The OM is needing to leave but I feel better about the whole situation.

Survived the day at work. My patients were so patient and I was way behind, brain was not on all cylinders...

Borrowed from the Ferris thread:

Yikes.
Cool.

Excellent! :)

Evening, Lodge. It was nice to have an actual day off from work for once, so I spent it napping and watching Giada on DVR. As for tomorrow, I'm making pork chops and applesauce for dinner...

Apparently it is chicken night in the Hammer kitchen. Chicken breast in the Foreman for tortillas tonight, and chicken breast marinating for fajitas, scheduled to go on the skillet shortly after 9:30.

There's a couple at Northeastern that are going to be pretty upset you're cooking their relatives.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Good mornin' Ralph! ;)

Good mornin' to tLodge! ;)

Half day at work today... hocket tonight!

Yo Katzie, The Quinn-i-maniacs are on quite a roll as 2009 draws to a close. Losses to Brom, Ylae and Haaaavaad and a tie against The Cross in the last five games. Of course there was a win over the always formidable, division 5 power: AIC.

Well, tell the boys to go out and get good and drunk on NYE and then regroup for next week's contest against Princstun.:D

[...and for the record I hope BC doesn't pulverize Denver too badly this weekend:eek: ]

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Staying at a crappy inn some 50mi south of DC tonight. Spent too long shopping at the JR cigar superstore off I 95 exit 97 in NC tonight and couldn't get past DC into MD. Drive will be too long now tomorrow. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 95: A USCHO Retrospective

Someone was wearing a bride's maid dress and drew looks...

True. It really is a pretty nice dress. It's one that looks better on than it does on the hanger.

AWESOME!! :)

Back from GLI, day 1. It was, in a word, a blast. :)
