Actually I can take a bus part of the way to work but I found an apartment only two miles away from where I will be working.Near a bus line at least?

It's a good area, I used to work down there. It's great that you found a place so close to your job too. And you can always take the Metra in to downtown.

Yeah, I know. I heard it too - didn't realize it was the same firm though. We expect our project at the Aspiris hospital in town to be canceled. It's officially on hold now.

It's sad and scary. Apparently there are several mills in N. America that are closing the doors permanently. Like Ontanogon, many of these mills are in towns where that's the primary employer for it's citizens.
On a business related note, that mill made medium, which is the paper in the middle of corrugated carton board. Now the only medium mill in the vicinity is the Rock-Tenn plant in St. Paul. We can make it here, but it's not what we want to run due to the lower price. Unfortunately, we may be forced to run more of it to keep our box plants supplied.

I'm kind of stuck in the middle of a brewing war between my manager and my co-worker. Something happened yesterday and she was called to the carpet and, from what she told me, it was not on her and someone else complained - stupid, petty stuff. My manager vented to me and my temp manager this morning about her and I felt it was inappropriate of her to vent and ***** about her with me in the room. I may need to tell her and my co-worker, to keep me out of it.
