Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

Why should I trust the opinion of four gentlemen who CHOSE to attend an ENGINEERING School? Because engineers just scream "social butterflies."

C'mon, they're all extroverted engineers. When they talk to you, they're staring at your shoes, not theirs. ;)

So, we have this French teaching intern living with us for the first half of the school year. Nice guy, but real introverted, spends most of the time in his room (on teh interwebs  ). And is, possibly, the laziest person alive. Been a struggle to get him to wash his own dishes, has cleaned his room once since August, etc. He has found out who his new host family is for the second half of the year, and they're vegetarian. The mom says it's OK 'Cause he can prepare anything he wants to eat.:) That should be funny to see. Will he convert to a vegetarian diet, or finally start making some food? Will he live on toast and Nutella with a little yogurt thrown in?

Howdy Lodge.

So today I became curious and went to see if I could find any files on our shared directory about the upcoming layoffs. I failed. :( But I did find a folder titled "Employee Satisfaction". It seemed fitting to me that the most recent file in there was a .ppt from 2006 discussing an upcoming survey they were going to do. I could find any files with results from the survey, or actions they planned to take as a result of the survey.

New company slogan: "not giving a * about our employees since 2006"

You lost me after "curious". ;)

Sloe vag, get it straight, it's 21 and 22. Jeez.

I would have agreed except you are now dating PB. Good luck.

And trust me, if you ever meet me, you'll find that my social skills are more than developed. Just ask Yager, Flashy Man, tIG, or PB.

I've met those retards. They have the social skills of a garbage can.

says the guy who told a bunch of people that they are a bunch of *king ******s. :p

Wait, two guys they talked to for this article still use outhouses... and the Yoopers are the ones that are backward?
You expect a hunting cabin in the middle of nowhere to have indoor plumbing? I'm pretty sure this kind of thing is common anywhere...its not like they lived there, it was their hunting shack.

Sorry, but the context led me to believe this was a permanent residence and not a hunting camp.

bring it on, Yooper. Quiz and I vs. You and Flashy?? That would be like the Detroit Red Wings vs. the South Park kids hockey team. :p

I'm not sure Flashy would like being compared to the Wings. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 92: Let's Keep SiouxTechie Out

*sigh* That part of the article didn't even phase me. My parents' next door neighbors have an outhouse and shower in the lake. :o

A certain UNH fan we're both friends with does that in the summer, as well.

Mail update: Still don't have it. Rushed home (forgoing a chance at OT) in hopes that I could pick up the slip and head to the post office. I get home, and no slip. My once-reliable buddy was stuck in Nashua (about 20-30 minutes from here) all day... Now, I can understand why he didn't bring it back last night when I talked to him; he was still cleaning his driveway, and some of the roads were nasty. What I don't understand, what simply baffles the crap out of me, is why he didn't just drop it off yesterday after his failed attempt (when I asked if he'd try again today, he said he didn't think it would be a good idea, meaning he never intended to, yet, he kept the slip), or why he didn't just drop it off this morning. I'm just at a complete and utter loss. He texted me that he'd leave shortly to bring it back to me. That was 45 minutes ago. It's a ten-minute drive to my house from his. This is *ing me off.

I cannot find the papers from it for specifics, however... I was doing math at a 2nd grade level, social studies at something like 1.8, and reading at like 3.8 or something of that sort when I entered kindergarten. Went to K for about a month, but was insanely bored so they moved me up....

all i've read over the last few days is how everyone up there suffers from years of inbreeding... and now you come along and tell us how you are so much smarter than the rest of them..

and this is supposed to impress how?:p

Sucks, yeah definitely sucks. Loss to Brom. Loss to Ylae. Tied by Holy Cross. Yeah, the big one. Definitely sucking the big one. Probably gonna get hosed bigtime by AIC. Yeah, definitely sucks.

Good work, though.

I am ready for a big glass of wine.
And you deserve it.

Nice work!

Evening, Lodge! It's nice when my boss tells us we can go home at 4 PM because of the weather. Used the extra time tonight to bake some muffins, wash dishes, and sweep the kitchen floor...

Actually she has 5 different great-grandparents whereas most of the rest of them them have 4 of fewer.
