Greetings from NYC. It's cold and windy here today. Went on one of those bus tours of the city today. It was a double decker bus with the top level out in the open. Wow, was it cold. Went to see Mamma Mia last night. It was a blast. Except that the guy in front of me had slightly spiky hair and it was kind of in my view of the stage. It was all I could do to not smooth it down so I could see.

I was trying to set a decent example for my niece.
So, while on the bus tour, we were stopped at the Central Park South stop. I look over to the sidewalk and see 6 former Terrier hockey players that are in town for the game tonight. I thought that was....kinda freaky. I mean, there are, like, a BAZILLION people in the city out and about and walking around. And the moment we stop, I look over in the crowd and see people I know. What are the odds?

They can't pay me enough to be a people greeter during the holidays. I had to greet today, and because of the increased attempted and successful thefts at this time of year, we're checking EVERYBODY'S receipts on the way out the door. "This is like an invasion of privacy, you know." Uhh, what? Because you went through the store with all of your things open in the cart for anyone to look at, unloaded them at the register for the cashier and anyone else around you to see, but once they're in a bag they're OMGPRIVATE! What? Whatever. People are crazy. And I'm not sure when the appropriate response to "Thank you, have a good night *smilesmile*!" became rolling your eyes and glaring.
In short, people suck, and I've already told my CSMs that I won't people greet again.
