I don't mind a blizzard if there's no one else on the road. Too many idiots think they can either do 10 or 70 mph. It is teh suck.

That being said, I don't mind driving in a blizzard. Odd thing is, I don't like being a passenger in a blizzard (no matter how much I trust the driver; ask BPH )

I was shocked that no one demanded we stop the car for a smoke break more often. For that matter, I'm still shocked no one demanded we turn the * around and go someplace less far out in BFE. Like Houghton.

So, someone should start a "Fire Blasi" thread...since they're so bad they lost to Bemidji. Because it's not like BSU's a good team or anything.

We told you. We smokers will not ask for a smoke break. We smoke when we can on road trips. Not when we want.

I move to open nominations for the 2009-10 Legion of ****.

I nominate Minnesota.

Why: already have matched a school record getting shutout four times. This record was set in the '20s and matched in the '50s. So it's been over 50 years since it last happened, and we're not even halfway through the season.

If that's not enough of a reason, they already have three ugly losses: the season opener against UND, the second game against Bemidji (at home!), and the crapfest at Yost. This team bricks so much that I'm tempted to start calling them the MNS Gophers.

Obviously you have never lived in DC. There is no, "run to the store to buy bread, milk, and toilet tissue" option.

Yeah, it's really something there. When I still lived in DC, the first time there was a blizzard -- or, more accurately, the first time they reported that "Ohio has gotten 4 inches of snow, and it could be headed this way!!11! -- I was like, "I am SO not running to the grocery store and acting like a fool." Then, two days later, and after NO snow had fallen, I went to the grocery store like I normally would . . . AND THERE WAS NOTHING THERE. It had all been cleaned out. Then you realize: You have to go crazy with everyone else, or else you'll get nothing.
