1975 Ford Mustang II

Hopefully this one is now part of a bridge deck in Japan. The Mustang II's were an embarrassment to the brand.

You either own it still and are happier than a pig in poo or you have big time regret. :)

Agreed on the '66. What a classic American car

Tim Tams (well, an Americanized version that is almost, but not quite, as good as the original Aussie version) are now widely available, at least in this area. *thumbs up*
I found an american distributer of the Aussi version. :)

I like winter, too. Every time the snow falls, I look forward to throwing snowballs, making hot chocolate, mulled wine, sledding, and of course, hockey season.
Me heart winter too!!! Proably why the threat of moving to chicago doesnt really bother me

Vehicles I have owned:
1983 AMC Eagle Wagon
1988 VW Jetta
1995 VW Jetta
2005 Toyota Matrix

Good Morning Lodge!

Only working a half day today, then heading off to Madison to watch my team get swept and then have a good time on State street. Thinking that this might not be the most productive morning...

agreed on the '66 Mustang, as long as it wasn't a brown I6 with an auto:p

I think he should have stopped there. :) My sister had a '67 but it was auto with the six. I used it to take my driver test so I wouldn't have to worry about shifting the parents' cars (both 3-on-tree).:o (I could and still can drive a stick, but was nervous enough about the test without worrying about killing it pulling away from a stop sign.)

Not loving the little bit of snow right now. It's insulating the ice on our pond, slowing the freezing action. I wanna skate outside!

I'm managing my kid's travel soccer team for the summer. At this age they play 11 v 11 and are allowed 18 on roster. We started with a short roster of 15, have gotten two replies about kids dropping from the team (one changed clubs, the other is playing lacrosse instead). Having 13 players to field 11 is not real comfortable. We may have to play with 10 or forfeit some games as surely some will take vacations that conflict with the team schedule. I wonder if I can recruit a couple other kids I know. Good thing I got one of the kids from the house league team last season to try out.

the mister has a 1969 Chevy Impala SS 427. three dueces. four speed. on the floor. buckets.

I have no idea what most of that means. Except its a big red machine that is really loud and goes fast.

I got the '66 Mustang when it was two years old in 1968 as a graduation present from my parents. It had started to rust by the time I got rid of it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Morning Lodge.

The fastest I've been in a car for was on M-14 going about 108
I'm a good driver, so the fastest I've gone is about 95

As for cars

'90 Probe (after it had 170k miles on it, it started vibrating when going over 55mph.) Perhaps I should have kept that car
'99 Escort
'07 Mazda 3 (I'm in love...'cause compared to the other 2, she's awesome)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 91: It's Blizzard Season... isn't it?

Morning lodge.

Lazy day today, watching/listening to the North Country Rivalry (Cluck Farkson @ SLU tonight, swapped tomorrow night) tonight, then a rifle match in NYC tomorrow, out on Lawn Guyland Sunday morning. Gonna be a busy weekend, and I really with I could go skiing this weekend, as the mountain is supposed to open tomorrow =[

That is awesome, '69 and '70 are the pinnacle for awesome cars. I could probably explain that lingo to you, but I doubt you care that much:p

Nice, I have a friend who used to have a restored one, that sounds exactly like that, with the pony interior and built up 289. Sweet car.

I love those old Chevy's. Two of my buddies had 1970 Chevelle SS's with the 427 four barrels and dual exhaust. They were the model with the black stripe running down the middle. One was red, the other black. Talk about a chick magnet back in the day!

I've owned way too many vehicles. I'll summarize

Chevy Pick up since 1979

:p
