and this one was no exception. It started out with her asking if we could trade hats (I was wearing a Vikings Santa hat and she had on some beret thing) and then she apparently liked my dry sarcastic humor and not caring attitude and then the alarm clock woke me up.

FYP ;)

What are you talking about? Sloe Gin was flying how could he be sleeping at the same time?

On second thought. That would be normal pilot behavior. Why stay awake? When you can spend the time catching up on your sleep. :D

The year I turned 30 was by far the worst year of my life. At times I wish I could go back and change things but then I wouldn't be where I am today. Things happen for a reason.

A small trouble is like a pebble. Hold it too close to your eye and it fills the whole world and puts everything out of focus. Hold it at a proper distance and it can be examined and properly classified. Throw it at your feet and it can be seen in its true setting, just one more tiny bump on the pathway of life.

You have indeed posted this before and it has been taped up to my fridge for the last few months. :)

So apparently you're a chip off the old block. I seem to recall you posting a picture of a rodeo clown who looked alot like you. :D

Well you know me, I like to save horses and ride cowboys.

Update: I guess my dad is in the OR now, the wooshed him in. My mom is there and giving me updates, she things it will be a couple of hours before he pops back out.

Best of luck to your dad.

Just found out my friends boyfriend died from pneumonia over the holiday. Crazy stuff.

I didn't think that kind of thing still happened.

Next to advice from other great minds like the commie, the rube, and GLM. And people wonder why our society is going not the tubes.

Ugh. My boss just came over to me with some bad news. Man my job situation really sucks. I was going to vent here about it but decided there is no point. It is what it is and I've worked myself up enough about it in the past.

Time to continue working on my resume and step up my efforts to see if anybody has a need for me.

It's how my grandfather died this past Easter. Though, he was weakened by a stroke a month prior...

That kind of stuff is actually quite common. When the body is weakened, whether from another illness, surgery, or recent trauma, pneumonia can be very tough to beat.

30 does indeed suck. That might have been the worst year of my life as well.

I'll have to set this aside as well.

My vacation is over half-over. :(

You have to go someplace else again? Wait a month or two and then ask for Chi-town.

My boss said it would be a good idea to take some vacation in order to lay low and minimize the amount of overhead the Minneapolis office is charging. That management may look to reduce the Minneapolis office workforce again. There is 9 engineers, 2 managers, 1 cadd drafter, and 1 admin. How much smaller can we get?

I'm determined to not let it get me down. I'm currently home and am going to be happy no matter what.

So you're going to take the job in Chicago?

Well I am still working on the job in chicago, they wrote a new postion and they had to post it. So its not really mine per se, but they want to bring me on board. They were good with my initial salary range, so I think at this point it is just getting the a ok and working out the final details in terms of compensasion, but this economy (well and in general) it is not offical until i see it in writing.

But it is looking good. I found an apartment 2 miles away from the office so it makes the suburban jungle feel more urban.
