Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

...and anyone that says Happy Holidays to me is going to get an "I'm offended" look from me

Happy Holidays! We've even gotten together and sent you a gift-wrapped, Happy Holidays' present. It's a deluxe package of absolutely no points from this weekend's series. Brian Thul and Scott Bokal helped me pick it out for you. Know you'll love it.

What's that? Yeah, same to you, too. :D :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

Your home isn't a retail store!!! They're the only ones that put up decorations prior to another major holiday. :)

I'm starting to wonder if that's true... I feel like I spend more time at Walmart than I do at home :(

Nah, today's my only day off until next Sunday. Christmas trees make me happy and it's pretty :)

I could always say it's because I'm so close to Canada and Canada's Thanksgiving was weeeeeeeks ago, and I'm just running on Canadian time ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

Jesus and I are bros.

We both hate Wisconsin. We both like the booze. We both have a bunch of friends who don't have jobs. We both were/are never married.

That has nothing to do with useless trees, though. :p

Edit: heck, read my sig! :D

It's a little known fact JC formed his own religion for one reason: So he could eat bacon. ;) :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

3 days too early...I'll let it slide though. :p
I concur. Friday is the proper start of the Christmas season.
which one is that?!?!? the one on thursday that celebrates the destruction of Native Americans? Their culture? AND their homeland?!?!

:p

I thought Thursday was the day where we eat turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and other things until we passed out on the couch with our pants unbuttoned just after halftime of the Lions game when they're down 35-3.

So you're saying that the Lions are symbolic of American Indians.

1. Dec 1 at the earliest for me. Preferably Dec 11th.
2. Don't forget having a couple just so you can deal with annoying family members.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

I usually start thinking about Christmas right after my last final for the semester. This year, that happens to be December 23rd at 3:30pm. Which means if there's not a blizzard and I drive half the night...I can get home just in time to sleep through Christmas Eve :( .

Well, lately the ending has been similar.

By the time anyone can get on my nerves the turkey has kicked in and I'm out cold on the couch.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

Christmas tree is up :D
Dislike. Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Then worry about putting up christmas stuff. :p

shouldn't that read "holiday season" tree so as to not offend?!?!? :p
I'm offended that it was put up before thanksgiving. :p

I thought Thanksgiving was purely a harvest holiday. Not a celebration of cheating Indians out of their land.

That said, either way I'm going to eat well on Thursday.
Yeah, Celebrating the murder, raping, pillaging, raping and outright theft of Native American lands is what Columbus Day is all about.

I concur. Friday is the proper start of the Christmas season.

**** right about that. If I was King, towns would not be allowed to put up and turn on their holiday lights until Black Friday. Stores wouldn't be allowed to do any Holiday decorating until the Monday before Thanksgiving. Radio stations wouldn't be allowed to switch formats to Christmas Music until Black Friday. If they want to, they can just stay Christmas 365, but I don't really see the point of Christmas Music in June. And for the matter, Stores like Bronners where its Christmas 24/7/365 will be allowed to stay Christmas-y year long. Thats their main business, and well, if they can figure they can keep things going the spring, then they're welcomed to go at it. Personally I would think Bronners would love that rule as they would have market to themselves 11 months of the year.

And Hammer, just when did you start having Thanksgiving with my family? Was that you that eat up all of the Deviled Eggs last year?? Bassturd!!! ;)

This ain't Facebook, son.

Facebook doesn't have a dislike button. But I hear if you join the Official facebook petition for a 'dislike' button, and they get 1 million members, they'll totally add it.
