Roosevelt High School in MPLS? They, like many of the inner-city schools don't even have a team anymore. Sad.

My dad is older too, it wasn't in high school. My dad doesn't remember what league it was, just that it was him.

Larson ruled. He jumped to the Red Wings after the WCHA suspended him for assaulting an official.

I feel obligated to, since I already have a ticket to the game (technically I have one giant ticket I need to keep and use for every Friday game, best idea ever :rolleyes:), but it's just not the same if you don't care about the teams playing.

HAHAHA!

Mrs. Gonzo thought she'd be funny and wear her UMD jersey to work today. She got too warm and left it hanging outside her office. One of her coworkers stuck a big sign on it that said "GOPHER REJECTS". :D
That's awesome on its own, but her phone was laying on her desk, and the guy took a picture and sent it to me! :D :D :D :D

Yeap Roosevelt. Yeah it is sad. The same thing is happening at Richfield. Dam large/rich schools like Edina and Eden Prairie ruining it for everybody else.

I didn't know this. Apparently Reed was the Freddy Meyer of his day.

Says the guy (me) who was named after an NHL player who was far from a saint in more ways then one.

Does this mean if I ever see you and your wife again I should point at your wife and yell Gopher Reject? I've done stranger things.

Already prevalent in the northern teams not named Blaine, Centennial, Anoka or Elk River.

Park Center + Brooklyn Center + Fridley + Columbia Heights = North Metro Stars.

Coon Rapids will probably end up joining that group soon. 28 kids showed up for Bantams this year. Not separating A and B either. Total.

No I don't think I'll be coming up to Houghton for the Gopher/Tech series. I booked a hotel room for that weekend back in the spring with the intention of surprising my girlfriend. Yeah I know bringing your girlfriend to Houghton isn't the most romantic spot but she has never been there and mentioned that she would like to go. She is a huge Gopher fan. Unfortunately, we broke up so I obviously wouldn't be surprising her.

I haven't canceled the hotel room yet so I could still go but I've traveled alot lately as a result of working in St. Louis (which is now over). Plus I have some other trips in mind so I'm probably not going to travel up to Houghton.

Thanks for asking. Hopefully our paths cross at some point so we can have dinner.
