So many people around Naperville for me to visit and potentially visit!
A couple of friends just moved there at the beginning of the month for his job. We'll definitely have to make a trip out there sometime in the near-ish future.

Speaking of Quebec a few days ago somebody mentioned to me that Quebec has a Winter Carnival in February. Maybe I should go.

As for Winter Carnival, may plans are up in the airsh, I have to see what happens with this new job, so maybe I cant go. But if I am still in this crappy job I am definatly going. The friggen canoe in the frozen streets man!!
Speaking of Quebec, apparently that's where I'm going for Spring Break. To some ski resort type thing. Opinions?
Mt Tremblant, I hear is nice. I have never actually skied in Quebec, but I have been to that one in the summer.
Get some poutine. Also, be aware that if you try to speak French, someone will laugh at you. Otherwise, it sounds like a lot of fun!
Actually it depends. In montreal the second they realise you are not a native francophone they will go instantly into english. Quebec City, they will let you converse in french if you want, and will switch into english when you are in over your head. Between my mom being a native speaker and my general understanding of french ( I am most weak in the speaking part) we pretty much spent the whole vacation in french. Now the rural parts of quebec, where my family is from. Good luck if you dont know french, and even knowing french might not help you, with all the Quebecois slang.
Depending on the part of Quebec, they'll really appreciate you at least trying. Never assume folks speak English either.
If you're in Montreal though, forget what I've said. If you're in any of the small towns or Quebec City - French all the way.
Yeah I think that is the way in most cities. When I went to Germany I learned a couple of phrases, including asking "do you speak english", while there is no way you could learn a language enough to speak it entirely on a trip, I think learning basic phrases and not assuming everyone speaks english and being polite and asking them to speak in your native tongue goes a long way.
So... ketchup or steak sauce.
