Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Kid was a blind ref.
Did it say "Adam" on the back? Or whatever number he wears now...:D

So I'm clicking around and there is a show on TLC about security guards at the Mall Of America. Some mom is blowing a gasket because her little brat isn't getting some other brats (whom I've never heard of - demi labotomy?) autograph. Too funny, the kids (one is 15 the pathetic dope) are crying like pathetic losers, the mom is making hockey parents look sane, and dad is in the background with the "I wish I had sons" look. :D
I saw that a few weeks ago...I was really rooting for them to be a spot or two away when they ended the autograph thing with her...:D

Raiders? Por que?
Translated your post...en espanol. :)

You should have seen the looks of horror - and the race for first class upgrades! - when we showed up at the MSP & DCA gates with 37 8th graders! :D
You sure it was because of the 8th graders?;) :p

Me too, would have been a meltdown for the ages! What's sad is most people would be embarrassed to see themselves acting like that, I suspect this dimwit was proud she got her little brats an autograph of someone who became irrelevant faster than Brittney Spears did.

I'm sure it wasn't. :D

Good afternoon Lodge. Here's a few words of advice: avoid surgery whenever you can. But it looks like the final outcome will be as hoped - cancer free. I get the pathology results on Wednesday.
That's great news, SFIS! :) Hopefully Wednesday brings a good word!

FYP. I'm so frustrated by ALL my teams this year, I want to punch something...
Yep. I am too... thankfully, I have to work Sundays, so I don't have to watch the Lions blow it week after week...

I wonder if the Disney brats are creeped out by the 99% of their fanbase that comes out to these things and cries over being within 5 feet of them...I know I would be.

If it wasn't, it should be!

They never changed the clock in the hotel room. I can't figure out how to change it. I guess I'll need to call down for a wake up call.
Or you could simply compensate for the hour when you set your alarm time. :p

Naw, that wouldn't make the extra $$$ for first class worth it.

Why is it that there is a screaming baby on EVERY flight I am on??

You went to BU, and you can't put one infant with an ear infection on Ignore? That's like the 3rd best reason to go there: After that campus, you should be able to sleep through anything. I remember dozing off many nights to the peaceful sounds of the Kenmore Square bus terminal under my window . . .

Good evening lodge.

I got back home from the farm tonight. I had a pretty busy weekend working down there, but I got the cushy job of driving the combine.:D Which is an awesome, brand new $300k machine, climate control, 5 speaker stereo, hi-intensity flood lights (like on high-end german cars), 3 on-board computers, GPS...so pretty much anything you could imagine to put in a machine like that. Overall it went pretty well, but it was slow, because the corn is really wet, but we're getting higher yields than we've ever seen before, alot higher, so that is good. Sounds like I'll be heading back next weekend for more work.

Too bad. Today's bill at the OC:

2 beers (Newcastle, Sierra Celebration; pints) and 2 appetizers: $12. :D

Plus, one step closer to a free pizza. :D

Why the hell does a combine need a GPS? Is the cornfield located in the middle of the Amazon?

Start at edge of cornfield. Go straight. When you hit the end, turn around and continue down the line. Continue until there is no more cornfield.

It needs a GPS because those crazy f'ers go trolling down the highways at 25 mph during the morning/afternoon commute while backing up traffic for miles. The GPS allows them to create the highest level of traffic congestion/potential accidents possible while using minimal fuel and playing Tetris/Facebooking. And all this while they lounge is the cozy confines of their heated, floodlighted, multi-speakered cocoon of traffic disruption.:D

Thats probably more for the yeild measurements of the field there Twitch. Different parts of the field will probably have higher yields than others. Like around the edges, those tend to get less pollinated by the rest of the field there, and they just don't grow quite as big as some of the cornstalks further into the field. Also, that would also be where you get the most of your crop damage as well, from like deer walking into the field and scoring them some fresh corn.

So, if you know where those areas are, how does a GPS help? Sounds like farmers are trying really hard to be trendy. Hell, I don't need a GPS to tell me that my lawn grows sh*ttier wherever my dogs do their business......;)

Why do you need a GPS to tell you you're at the edge of the field? I thought the barbwire fence was enough...:p

They're bowfishing on KHO...that actually looks pretty fun...

I'm just throwing out the edge of a field as an example of an area that would have a low yield, there can be lots of different little areas out on the field that can have higher or lower yeilds, and when you plot that all out on a map, then the farmer will know what parts of this field will need more care, like having more fertilizer put there later on.
