Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

I am up way too early, and yet I feel very rested...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Morning, Lodge.

While I appreciate the extra hour of sleep I got last night, the fact that it's going to be dark on my way home from work makes me mad. I hate driving in the dark.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday. day of rest.

would appreciate prayers for the MIL. She is on massive doses of pain meds that aren't holding her :( Went over last night for a little visit to see Grandma and the wheels were falling off. Poor L'il some Halloween for him. He loves his Grandma.

Sorry to hear that. :(

That stinks:(

Gotta get some wood moved around today, getting to be that time of year. Painted the ceiling in my shop yesterday, I hate painting especially a ceiling 12 feet in the air, have paint speckles all over my arms, face and neck. :D

Morning Lodge

Les - thoughts and prayers :(

Tenth year in a row, and no trick or treaters. For full disclosure, around year two of living here, a bunch of teenagers showed up with elaborate horror costumes. It was after nine, so I assumed it wasn't little kids. I opened the door, emptied the entire bowl of candy into one of their bags and told them to split it up somewhere else. I'm sure my generosity kept me from getting TP'd or worse.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

btw, is it just me or are less kids going trick or treating nowadays? Quiz and I were out running last night and it really didn't seem like a lot of kids were out...

None here either, doesn't help when you have a 500 ft driveway cut thru the woods and don't leave the outside lights on:D

Seems that way here, too. I think with folks worrying more about safety they're doing more parties, etc. Either that or kids are just lazy as he|| now!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Good morning.

I think weekdays are better for trick & treaters, at least we seem to get more. More parties on weekends it seems.

I was wondering about that... parents taking precedence over the kids... I know from experience my parents get the worst of it over the weekends. i think that may have more to do with folks working 2nd shifts and things like that.

Another possibility is that you see some double-shifting from the parents and kids who live in places who do their Halloween on weekends regardless of the actual date.

It was that good long snooze in the cockpit. ;)

Morning Lodge.

Only two T or Ters last night. The little kids across the street. Took our teaching intern to a party last night in a different neighborhood and plenty were out there. My kid went to a buddy's house in yet another neighborhood and there were plenty there, just none around here. Kid was a blind ref.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Howdy kids. Just checking in - I'm heading down to DC this afternoon for business for most of the week. I think I'm going to take to T to the airport. Which means I'll need to leave soon. I'll have my laptop with me so I'll be online, just not as frequently. Got my new Blackberry and am figuring out how to use it. I had it on at the game last night and got on USCHO, got to the Cafe, but couldn't see where the link to the poll section was. How do I get here? Anyone know?

That, and I think the H1N1 panic kept a lot of kids home this year.

@Monster--that rep was quite disturbing, until I went and saw was post it was for. :)

Ugh. I failed to noticed that my cable box automatically switched last night, so I thought it was only 2am, when in fact, it really was 3am. Ooops.

Need caffeine. Now.

I think I may be responsible for getting a 95 lb. girl I have known for a long time hammered. All joking that could take place here aside, it wasn't on purpose. She is not feeling well at all and passing out on the couch. I feel like a jerk.

...so you get to take care of her and show just how much you care :o and maybe she'll decide that's a good thing for her? ;)

Best of luck to her, to your husband and son, and the rest of your family, les. :(

Morning, Lodge. Apparently every woman I know under the age of twenty-five was dressed in a corset last night. And I wasn't there to see any of them. :o (though I've been told pictures are forthcoming)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Some kid came to the door last night with a cardboard cutout on his shoulders with the words "Kissing Booth" adorning it.

I manually bookmarked the Polls section to work on my blackberry. It seems like the mobile version of vBulletin doesn't show them otherwise.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Thanks all. Got a call this AM- she is doing a bit better. Never went to the hopsital as she was supposed to (I really shouldn't be surprised- I have yet to go over without some crisis occuring when I get there and them not following what is advised) Anyway she slept a bit last night which is good.
