Nothing like getting to sleep in a bit... oh well... off to the FCSM... Federal Committee on the Spaghetti Monster ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

You don't have to worry, but I do. :)

I get one every year also, don't really worry though. Last time my choresterol was 163, down from 195 or so. I couldn't believe it as I had gained weight. I know your dad passed at an early age, was it a heart issue? Seems to me with all your bike riding you've taken care of that issue.

I worry about the dermatologist I have to see every 6 months, I've made it past the 5 years since they took stage 3 melanoma off my back. If my wife hadn't seen the spot and made me go, I'd be dead right now. I couldn't see it, I had no idea it was there

Morning Lodge!

Nice to see all the happy talk by the old timers this morning. :p

WOW. So when they tell you to bend over the table do they feel the horseshoe that is up there somewhere?

My dad died from prostate cancer. I suspect that it would have been caught much earlier now. I do get tested for that every year.

The blood test or the finger test? ;)

Morning Lodge. Chilly here, said 22 on my thermometer this AM. No rim of ice on the pond though - water is still too warm. I need to work on the wiring for the rink lights this weekend.

First peewee game tonight. Should be interesting.

'Morning, Lodge! There's a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning in the Central 906 region.

This is the first time I've had a weekday off in quite a while, and I'm not sure what to do with myself. I mean, I know what needs to get done today, but this just feels wrong.

Liquor store probably opens at 10 am... :D

The 3 primary reasons for a Check Engine light are EGR valve, O2 sensor, or loose/defective gas cap.

Good to know. My check engine light came on last night. Since I am mechanically handicapped I will take it in today or tomorrow and get it fixed.

Good morning Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Morning Lodge. Didn't get flipped off by moron project manager this morning, so it's off to a better start than yesterday.

And bbdl: I'd rather have that than the "when are you gonna settle down, start a family" stuff. I think they finally started getting it when I started answering "Whenever. I don't have any sort of plan."

Older siblings are good to have for that. I haven't heard my mom ask "when are you going to get married?" since my bro and his wife told us they were having twins.

Good morning. Had another interview yesterday, by far the most promising one I've had. I'm getting sick of being the bridesmaid....:D

Keep your head up & you will be fine. :p ;)

I swear by the "turn up the radio" solution.

My younger sister (just turned 21 in July) convinced my parents that she'd eloped about 2 months ago. (This is not entirely out of the realm of possibility for this sibling.) Things have quieted a bit on the marriage-nagging front since then.

Good Morning Lodge.

Got into work this morning and my Q3 performance review was in my email box. My new supervisor is impressed with my work and he says that I'm doing a good job. It feels good to know that I'm actually doing whatever it is that I'm doing the right way!:p

Mine comes on a few times a year on my 2008 Silverado. It's always the gas cap. Once I tighten the gas cap down, it usually takes around 4-5 starts before the light goes out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

Mine comes on if I'm low on fuel, low on coolant, if the gas cap is loose, you name it. Drives me crazy.

Good job!

I recently found out that my last five years worth of performance reviews were heavily used in the decision making process to even interview me at the paper mill. Fortunately, over 75% of my goals and objectives were rated "Exceeds Expectations" by my previous managers.
My former manager called me yesterday to discuss upcoming projects my old dept. is anticipating for 2010/2011. If business continues on an upward trend, She was asking my level of interest in returning to HQ. It's early to say, but the more I'm here, the more I like it. I like handling the IT issues of a single entity, rather than a dozen.
Time will tell.

My car also starting "sputtering" when I put it in gear. Maybe its time to buy a new car..............
