5.0 is pretty much the way they should've released the phone in the first place. It works great but there's a few kinks, like if you had a custom theme, it might look really stupid in landscape view. Also, if you were using Quick Pull Pro or Quick Pull Lite, it doesn't function properly. Then again, the latest version of Quick Pull Lite was a piece of crap with a stupid ad banner that was impossible to not click on when using the application.

The SMS now look exactly like they do on BlackBerryMessenger which is a nice touch and keeps your SMS folder clean. The flick scrolling is smooth and the loading and closing of applications is really nice now, doesn't feel like its lagging at all.

I didn't have to with this update.

Its a website update only (at least for me). Your phone won't find it. Hope you have your usb cable that came with the phone.

Just go to http://www.verizonwireless.com/storm. Bottom left of the page it says "software download". Once you go through the setup one of the screens shows (via checkboxes) what will be installed.

It also backs up your apps and contacts.

See, here's the thing: Alaska knows what to do when it snows. It snows a lot, they know it, and they're much more prepared when it comes to doing something about it. Houghton is the same way. 12 inches overnight? Rendered a non-factor by noon. Houghton is actually a model for how to treat winter right. They have some of the best winter roads I've seen (except that one behind Wads :mad: :mad: :mad:,) and you can always walk anyway.

When Cheyenne gets dumped on in October, there's nothing that really gets done about it. No one is ready, so everyone stands around with their collective wee-wee in their hands and the entire city becomes a Charlie Foxtrot. During the last little blast of winter we had, I literally could not leave my apartment for 3 days because no one had plowed it, just let 8 inches of snow accumulate everywhere.

And as I mentioned, I don't mind snow. My car does. I miss my old Bronco II. If I still had that I'd be saying bring it the eff on. Went through snow like an NMU cheerleader goes through Quarter Pounders. I wouldn't even have to shovel out my parking spot, just drop it into 4X4 and steamroll my way out.

I guess I burnt myself out on the stuff at Tech and I've just had my fill of it. I was expecting...well, anything but what's about to hit on Wednesday.

I thought I was the only one thinking this (and I couldn't understand why)

Glowing Mummy warning!!

HH tonight. Lil's team won again (in the higher tier). He scored a shorthanded goal after he was man in the O zone on the kill. Roofed it. Broke the tie- first ever game winning goal. My mouth hung open. This kid has never had hands. Ever. He has now scored more goals in the last few weeks than he has in his whole career (7 yrs). He has always been the grinder, never the shooter. The level of hockey is higher than what he had been playing (except for the azzhat team). I think there has been an alien abduction and they have replaced my kid.

Sounds like when we went to Denver and they had 30 plows for the whole city. My town of 35K has that many.

He is going to play for his Dad's team (didn't you know that?):D

We also found out tonight he made the middle school team after trying out for 3 yrs. He is on cloud 9. He got 3 shots today at his check up and he is so happy we haven't heard any whining about the sore arms at all.:p

I got my Blackberry updated. It took quite a bit longer than I expected, but I didn't lose any apps and it seems to be running crisper and faster, so I'm glad I actually updated.
