Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I never neg lodge members. Besides, I'm letting them have their moment here.

'Morning, Lodge. The bad news is I'm back in Marquette. The good news is I spent the bulk of that 2 hours booking and arranging 12 subbing days in the next 3 weeks.

KARE 11 did a great job finding stereotypical tool Yankee fans for their newscast...
FlagGuy? :)

Mornin' Lodge.
So... I started an evening class last Monday. It's MWF from 6-9 until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I decided to take it to see two things. One, I need it to perhaps get a part time job after completion and two, to see if it is something that I find interesting enough to pursue further education.

I think after tonight, I'll have a better handle on whether or not I'm doing well enough to take the next step. I have a feeling I'll be heading over to a Michigan Works! (*snicker*) center within the next couple of days to get some info on their No Worker Left Behind program and get that ball rolling.

CC to GE - no prob. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I had the most bizarre dream last night.

You sailed away to China in a little rowboat?

Happy Earworm!

Hope everyone is doing well. Rehab is going OK. I'm just dwelling on my next surgery, and when that's going to be. I really dread them going back in, but at the same time I'm excited because this nightmare will finally be over.

We're getting the stove and chimney cleaned, so nice warm fires begin tonight. Hopefully some homemade bread will closely follow because now that I can taste it again I'm really looking forward to it!

Is it Friday yet?

Heading back to prison, er, I mean school. About a 7 hour drive if there's traffic on the other end, only to do it again Thursday, since I'm coming home next weekend too. Whee!

I'm going to be passing 100k on my car close to school today too, which is kinda neat.

I'm almost positive he would have been one of them if he wasn't in St. Louis for the Vikings game yesterday...:p
I talked to all of them as they were en route on Saturday. He was that stereotypical tool. :D

Oh, wait... he always is and that's why I like him.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I had the most bizarre dream last night.

I was doing some project with my co-intern when this crazy lady from another department comes in and chews me out for not being interested enough in the job. My co-intern and I later discover that she is a militant feminist and a furry, and had made a post about me on the Internet, referring to me by name. I printed off the post and was ready to turn it in to my boss when I woke up.

I need a vacation. From what, I don't know.
No more Red Bull, Ho-ho's and pixie sticks before bed for you young man. ;)

Ummmm.... You're going to wish that you got that ball started a lot sooner then that, like back in June perhaps. I filled out the NWLB paperwork back in early August and the last I heard is that they're so backlogged with applications for that program that I probably won't get a ruling on it until about December at the earliest. You would think as bad as unemployment is in Michigan they could afford to hire a few more new pencil pushers to get all of the paperwork that they're backlogged on done.

I can afford to be patient. I just need to be certain the path I'm thinking about is right for me. If I did well on my homework, I'll probably head over at lunch tomorrow.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Afternoon Lodge. Work is kicking my *** this week and I have a short week, being on site two days and off on Friday. :(

The drama of youth hockey is ridiculous again. It's only peewee C, but the coaching matters. It can make bunch of kids have a fun season and improve their abilities, or it can make it a sucky season where they don't improve. I may end up being a head coach, which is really stupid since I can barely skate - at least the peewees are better than me. But I may be better than the alternatives.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

possible double post...

I was brave for lunch today and decided to go to the OCB across the street from the building where my training is, because I felt like eating mass quantities of cheap, poor quality food. This place was great, not the food, but the people watching was excellent. OCB is now the Wal-Mart of dining establishments.
I saw a family with a whole herd of kids, it looked like they were all wearing home-made clothes and hadn't showered in a month, not because they couldn't but because they're parents wanted to let them make their own decisions kinda thing. All of the kids were wearing doctors face mask things, they didn't know what to do when it was time to start eating! Then there was what had to be a homeless guy, he was eating maccaroni and cheese faster than I thought was humanly possible, after he was done with his mac n cheese he started arguing with another old guy that the Vikings would go 16-0, followed by an argument about Twins managers, Gardy vs. TK. Overall, the entertainment was well worth having a ****ty tasting lunch and probably having the ****s later today.

No offense but that's too bad. Wish I lived closer and had more time so could help.....would be fun. Finding qualified C coaches is always a challenge, especially since (it always seems) kids with parents who are qualified to coach end up playing at the A/B level - which isn't surprising but really isn't fair to the C player who benefit the most from good coaching.

Did you try the blue? :D
I love Vegas Vacation.
