Half the guys at the wedding almost DL'd at the reception, but I'll tell that story later today. Happy Sunday kids. I need to get off the couch and go food shopping. And I need to buy a hair dryer. The Sox game starts in about 20 minutes. I'll wait till then. Not really in to watching the end of the season.

Last night on the way to pick up my cousin to join me at the BU game (he had flown down to DC the day of the final so I told him afterwards he got to come to the banner raising) I was stuck in this fustercluck logjam of traffic. I think they had this one major road on the way to Charlestown/the North End (where he lives) due to one of the many movies shooting here in Boston. Now, I normally would think that was awesome, but because a) it was potentially going to make me late for the ceremony I had been waiting 6 months for and b) I have yet to see one celeb here in town filming, I was not too thrilled to have to figure a way around it. Thankfully I was able to pick him up in time and got to the arena in plenty of time.

Today the Zakim Bridge, which is that huge suspension bridge right next to the Garden, will be closed starting around 3pm for filming on the Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz movie. They're going to be landing a helicoptor(helicopter?) on the bridge. I'm sure it will be way cool to see, but omigod is it going to mess up traffic in town today. And that's about the time the Sox game will be ending. Am I glad I don't have tickets to today's game. Oy.

Morning, Lodge. Looking forward to some football today - I'm going to try and drag one of my married-with-children friends, and another who's soon to be married with child, to somewhere with TVs and beer. :cool:

Morning!

I was thinking yesterday it would be interesting to do a minute-by-minute score thread next weekend. An aggregate of every game with the actual time (probably Eastern) that the goal was scored.

Like a hockey time line. :)

Could use an online atomic clock site to keep everyone on the same time.

We're home from church and have finished a Sunday morning breakfast of Hazlenut coffee, bacon, eggs and zucchini "kitchen sink" muffins[with: shredded zucchini, craisins, walnuts, chocolate chips and coconut.] Mrs. Shot is about to start making a large pot of chicken posole soup. I'm heading to the gym for a workout. This afternoon/evening we'll enjoy some quiet time at home on a cold, gray fall day as we watch the Broncos-Pats game followed by the Rockies-Phillies game....if the weather doesn't force a second postponement. :)

Signs that i'm not an adult... I was walking through the container store and I got to canvas wardrobe totes and I went "cool, something I can hide in!" :)
