Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Good morning, Lodge.

Not getting a flu shot; haven't had the flu in awhile, and my immune system is strong enough to deal with it.

Denver is in for three days of cold, wet weather. The temps aren't supposed to get out of the 40s for the next few days. Rain mixed with snow and/or turning into snow are distinct possibilities. It's certainly good weather for the start of DU's hockey season, but not good for the Rockies-Phillies game scheduled to be played at Coors Field on Saturday night. Brrrrrrrrrrr.

Someone needs to explain to me the rationale of matching ties and shirts. Mr. has without a doubt the worst fashion penaly outfit on. Game misconduct. He assures me that it matches. Consists of a chestnut brown blazer, red and white little striped shirt and a tie that is black and brown horizontal wider stripes with some type of Snoopy logo on it. Why is it considered matching to have different stripes and colors matching? My eyes were hurting.

Wow.

I'm waffling on getting the seasonal flu shot. I work in the germ pits known as the public school system (and a low-income one at that!), plus I have a roommate who is in her clinicals for her LPN and exposing herself to who knows what at her various assignments. I get quite a few little colds here and there, but I haven't had a big knock-me-out-of-commission sickness since I had mono 4 years ago, and I think my number is just about it and I don't want to tempt fate.

I didn't know that you were married to a gentleman from India.

Morning Lodge

Happy Birthday Les! (Your hubby's outfit sounds, uh, awkward?)

A buddy and I are heading up to the Canadian border (Brule Lake area) Sunday for 5-6 days of ATV, Shotguns, Whiskey and Cigars. A little grouse hunting to cleanse my soul for a while. I have an outfitters tent with a woodstove, so whatever happens weather wise, we'll be warm and dry. :)

No flu shot for me this year, but I have a fairly strong immune system, so I'm not worried.

More wedding drama this morning, but I'm not getting into it. I'm sick of complaining about it and I'm sure you're sick of reading it. I'm just sucking it up and smiling until Monday. On a related note, I am thinking about getting a manicure for the wedding!?

Nice and quiet morning here at the office, for a change, and the weather has a beautiful, fall crispness in it.

Les - Umm...he sounds like he dresses the way my dad does sometimes: I have pants, shirt and tie on, isn't that enough?

I'm not getting the seasonal or H1N1 flue vaccine. I'm not a *****.

I am not a resource for this topic. When I get fitted for a suit I ask the sales person to pick out a couple shirts and then a couple ties that go with it and that is what I use. All I know is that one must match leather. (black belt = black shoes.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Three weeks ago I had a guy come over to the house from a fairly large landscape business in town to give me some ideas for planting some trees. (I own 2.5 acres and approx 60 pine trees border my property) No other trees whatsoever. So, we come up with some ideas and the conversation ended with him stating that he would get back to me with prices. Fast forward to last night about 5PM. He pulls into the yard with the trees we had discussed! (5 maples, 2 birch, 2 crab apples and 3 apple trees. The maple and birch are about 15' tall and the rest are about 8' tall.

Hello! What happened to the "I will get back to you with prices before I pick up" conversation? F an A. I politely reminded him that I never agreed to getting the trees as I wanted to get prices before I made a decision. He felt pretty stupid. Good news, he showed me his cost for the trees and asked that if I helped him put them in the ground he would give me 50% off the price for the mistake. Bad news, I missed the Twins game and take full responsilbility in the loss. :o :( ;)

Nice

I offer my back yard as a neutral spot for this pistol duel. I will also referee.

Choose your seconds gentlemen.

I choose Dirty as my seconds.

And I only want 6 paces. I want to see the fear in my opponent.

Oh, and gmann is invited ONLY if he throws a ttp in honor of me winning. :D

Well Les, two thoughts come to mind....

1) You should be happy, cause there is NO WAY mr is getting laid with that outfit!

2) He IS going to Nebraska (so maybe he knows something we don't :p)
