Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

For casual day I usually go with the stars and stripes speedo with a cut off A-Team t shirt and cowboy boots. ;)

I hope you frequently pose with your fists on your hips and chest out! :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

I just committed to hiking a couple mountains tomorrow in the expected monsoon conditions. Anyone know a doctor who performs rectal cranium extractions?

Trying to read classof87's posts in the UND/Merrimack thread make my head hurt. Not for the baseless fanboy content...but this guy makes the monster look like a grammar whiz....
Thats gotta be bad then. I is like the standard of bad grammer and spellingz. ;)

Wow.

I'm waffling on getting the seasonal flu shot. I work in the germ pits known as the public school system (and a low-income one at that!), plus I have a roommate who is in her clinicals for her LPN and exposing herself to who knows what at her various assignments. I get quite a few little colds here and there, but I haven't had a big knock-me-out-of-commission sickness since I had mono 4 years ago, and I think my number is just about it and I don't want to tempt fate.
I'm kinda thinking about that myself, as I'm going to be spending a lot of time touching people and several of the women in my class are mothers with young kids, so if their kids come home with it, they're next, and then I rub them after that. Twitchboy might be able to get away with it, but I probably should get one, even though I still think a lot of the hoopla over Swine Flu is a bunch of hogwash. No different than regular flu, which will probably kill more people this year than Swine Flu.

Three weeks ago I had a guy come over to the house from a fairly large landscape business in town to give me some ideas for planting some trees. (I own 2.5 acres and approx 60 pine trees border my property) No other trees whatsoever. So, we come up with some ideas and the conversation ended with him stating that he would get back to me with prices. Fast forward to last night about 5PM. He pulls into the yard with the trees we had discussed! (5 maples, 2 birch, 2 crab apples and 3 apple trees. The maple and birch are about 15' tall and the rest are about 8' tall.

Hello! What happened to the "I will get back to you with prices before I pick up" conversation? F an A. I politely reminded him that I never agreed to getting the trees as I wanted to get prices before I made a decision. He felt pretty stupid. Good news, he showed me his cost for the trees and asked that if I helped him put them in the ground he would give me 50% off the price for the mistake. Bad news, I missed the Twins game and take full responsilbility in the loss. :o :( ;)
Little did you know that he already marked those trees up 200 percent. Sucker!! ;) :D

YORVIT TORREALBA. YES!!!:D :D :D

What???

Oh yeah, for those that have been asking, my table is in now. Line forms to the left.

And, for those of you keeping score at home, they just let go one of the paralegals.

Since June of 2009, we're down: 2 associates, 1 partner, and 1 paralegal. We've replaced 1 associate.

Note: The firm is actually doing really well financially...

Sounds like they're either working people to death and it's bad working conditions, or they're greedy ******** who want to "work lean"

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Someone needs to explain to me the rationale of matching ties and shirts. Mr. has without a doubt the worst fashion penaly outfit on. Game misconduct. He assures me that it matches. Consists of a chestnut brown blazer, red and white little striped shirt and a tie that is black and brown horizontal wider stripes with some type of Snoopy logo on it. Why is it considered matching to have different stripes and colors matching? My eyes were hurting.

Go with the classic look: white or blue shirt, tie that doesn't look too busy or ridiculous (red tie can go very well with blue shirt), dark slacks, black belt, black socks, and black dress shoes. If you wear a suit, go with black or very dark blue. Don't wear gray if you're under 80.

I vote number two.

Afternoon, Lodge. Got a call from the interview I've had, they hired some other person. Not too surprising, though I did have decent qualifications and got further than most of the applicants, but still a bit disappointing. Distracted myself from the pain by having lunch at Burger Jones.

Did you tell them you're NPB?

Why is it nothing happens at work every day UNTIL 4:45 PM?!?!? (and I don't mean Kitler's feeding time)

Nope. I have priced these things out and he took a hit selling them to me for the price that he did.

Sounds like nmu_27. "Uhh... you know that doesn't match, right?" "What are you talking about? It matches just fine!" "Whatever..."

All I know is that one must match leather. (black belt = black shoes.)

It took me a while to convince nmu_27 of that fact, and it was only after he noticed another one of the teachers that he works with matching shoes and belt that he finally started doing it himself. Men...

Don't kid yourself... it was the Speedo that did it!

For some odd reason that reminded me of a story of my grandfather. He was being prepped for a surgery "around his private parts". As the nurse was preparing to shave him he said "shave the brush but leave the timber." :p
