Yep. And at 2:30 PM, I'm going to sit down with my Tostitos and hot salsa and watch the Phillies vs. Rockies. It's a lot easier watching the playoffs when you're not emotionally invested in any of the teams playing.

And good morning, Lodge! Banana nut bread and coffee are being served in the Lodge kitchen, if anyone's interested.

Ski season has arrived in Colorado. Loveland opens this morning with an eighteen inch base. A-Basin opens Friday morning.

Good luck to the Rockies against the Phillies. Rockies got some bad news when pitcher Jorge De La Rosa was ruled out of the series against the Phillies because of a strained groin suffered while pitching against the Dodgers last week. If the Rockies defeat Philadelphia, De La Rosa could be healthy enough to pitch in the NL Championship sereies.

After beginning the season 0-6, De La Rosa went on a tear going 16-3 over the remainder of the season. He became the first pitcher since 1900 to begin a season with six straight losses and go on to win sixteen games. The Rockies will miss him against the Phillies. From June 1st through the close of regular season no starting pitcher won more games than De La Rosa. I don't expect the Rockies will win the series, but I'm looking forward to watching some of the action.

Morning lodge, hanging out until my one class at 1:30, then off to the stadium shortly after that for game 1 of the ALDS. Rainy and miserable earlier this morning, now its clearing up and getting windy. Supposed to be mostly clear, 50, and 20-30mph winds, gusts to 40 tonight at the ballpark.

Although snow is coming this weekend....you get tix for the Rockies game? We were looking everywhere, but they are so overinflated. I can't wait for a Rockies-Twins World Series!

Still trying to wind down from the awesome game last night, while looking forward to Game 1 of the ALDS at 5. It sure has been an incredible week of sports here in MN! I don't think the Dome wants the Twins to leave:p

Morning, kids. Dreary and gray here in Boston.

Busy night last night (after getting home from work at 8:15), made stuffed pork chops, spinach "pesto", packed all hair and make up stuff for the wedding this weekend, washed my Chucks (the bridesmaids are wearing black Chuck Taylors with our dresses instead of heels - the groomsmen are wearing red ones to match our dresses), watched House, attempted to talk to my sister, and did 2 days worth of dishes. :o

It's actually clearing out now and might be sunny this afternoon.
(of course, weather forecast is calling for rain again at around 6-7...about the time I'll be leaving work...:rolleyes: )

So today is the day that I am going to finish the thank you cards from our wedding. Only 3 1/2 months after the fact. :o

At least most of the ones left are for our college friends who are probably not as concerned with etiquette as some of our older relatives would be. We got those ones out early. I still feel bad though...

ETA: I guess it's not so bad. Emily Post says 3 months.

So as a really crappy hockey player, I have always used a cheap wooden stick, but I can get a decent one-piece Bauer for about $45 including shipping, so I think I'll join the 21st century.:o Hockey Giant.

Maybe you could get a full-ride scholarship at Michigan Tech. :D

I'm a really crappy hockey player with a good stick and awesome skates. I got them cheap...so whatever.

It's like when my friens laugh at me for owning my own bowling shoes but not a bowling ball. Umm....the shoes were cheap and save me money by not having to pay to rent shoes. And yes, I'm a craptastic bowler.

I have 3 bowling balls, my own shoes, and a wheelie bag. I bowl near a 200 average. :D
