Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

Hello lodge. Just got done with my presentation. Went well. Bring on the crown.

And then if you ever have tDarkness over to watch Michigan football, he can dry-hump a life sized image of Tate Forcier!

You know honestly I think I may have come close to doing this on Saturday.

Hmmm... I don't even know you but I'm a bit concerned... or, do you know some dark secret about Forcier that isn't public knowledge? ;)

I know I'm starting to get concerned also.

I agree the clock is too slow.

The boy and I are going karting tonight. Extreme indoor karting or something. I don't know, I guess the karts that go 40+ mph and you have to sign a waiver and wear protective gear. Typically if a waiver is involved it's fun...right? I hope so.

Why isn't it 5 yet?

No actually, I wasn't being facetious at all. I didn't listen to anything from the 70s other than The Who.

OK - cool

Here's a little Wiki on Todd

Paging a Mister Bob Jonhson. Paging a Mister Bob Johnson [via his secret yahoo account].

So Bobby, ya say you can't get enough of those meetings? They're just the mostest swellest use of your time you can imagine? You'd like to start each day with half a dozen, mandatory-attendace, intra-departmental get togethers? Hmmmm, I'll talk to the Big Monkey and see if we can get that in the pipeline.

Glad you liked the story. :)

I read that as "bring on the clown." Made sense to me. :D

Don't worry, Ralph. The clown is here now! :p ;)

Brent, MNS and BPH: I think I remember the entire hockey verse from the Badger song that we were talking about Saturday night...strangely it just came to me when I was sitting here working.

My wife's old firm did that as a team building event. She did not enjoy it as the helmet made her claustrophobic and the fumes inside the building were pretty bad. It sounded fun to me, but then I used to race 2 stroke bikes and the fumes and full coverage helmets didn't bother me. Have fun!

The boy is a racecar driver and goes karting as "training" or something. I've never been.

Exhaust fumes from high octane racing fuel are awesome. One of my favorite smells.

Well, it's been one of those days.

I came in after a four day weekend, and the poo hit the fan on a gnarly help desk ticket. I've spent all day chasing down developers and users to completely understand and document how this horrible system event is occurring. I figured out the cause and several possible solutions, all of which involve additional custom code and significant expense. The final decision by the users who initiated the whole thing?

If you drop a banana peel in front of his kart, you will be a real American hero.

"cheaper, faster... do it again."

Taking a night off tonight and relaxing. Back to the grind tomorrow night.

I've been (in Finland of all places) - it's awesome. Even the non-gearheads loved it, especially the ones with strong competitive streaks.

From Japan.
