Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

So uh. 2147483647 point(s) total :D 'tis max?

now, is it most likely that it will be the top 3 people? Because I have no idea when it happened.

If so: Siouxfaninseattle (REDRocket, Sloe Gin) 1236 EDT

If not, the next two are wT and DisplacedCornellian.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I'm going to the Red Sox game tonight and trying to decide if I should leave my car here in our lot for free and take the T to the game, or drive and park by Fenway and pay (if I can't find a meter).

Pro - definitely no extra parking cost
Con - will have to fight the crowds on the T back here to the Back Bay.

If I drive, my car will be there after the game but ballgame traffic will be difficult given the construction on the BU bridge.

Plus it's supposed to rain tonight. *sigh*

heh, it's been raining and blowing winds all day down in that other, better city;) All around nasty weather, hope it isn't as bad up that way.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Now this may be the best Idea I've heard all day.

Can we wake up eat, brush and wash first (or atleast limit the tasting of morning breath), then commence with the morning sex.

Or course by us I don't mean us, it's just a general kind of us, that in no way relates to me and you.
Fine, no morning sex for you. :p

I need more hours in the day! I have a crap ton of work I still need to do before I can leave today. Then I have about 3 hours of errands to run. And I need to be at the hockey rink in under 3 hours. Not to mention that I have to find my gear and clothes which could be anywhere in my house.

Yarghhhh. Stupid time.

So...you're trying to decide which "traffic" situation you want to deal with?

I'd take the T and an umbrella. Then you can have some beers at the game and not worry about driving home...
Fine, no morning sex for you. :p
*waves hand*

I'll take morning sex!!! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

There's a trick to that...:p

And yeah, I have zero experience with horses. Hate them, have always hated them, and have no plans to stop hating them.

I think the key to handling any large animals is to know their tendancies and to remain calm. You can't prevent all injuries, but its nice to keep from getting kicked every once in a while.:p

and actually most of "injuries" (mostly bruises) I've suffered have been from smaller 400-700lb calves, they're deceptively strong and much quicker than a large steer.
Well, most likely you got those buggers while they still had their nuts, or as they were getting removed right?? I know I would be mad as hell about somebody going after them. Steers, they probably figured well, you've already taken my balls, so why risk fighing him for anything else?? ;) :D

But yeah, you do have to know how large animals operate, and cows and horses are just wired differently. Thats mostly because Horses are smarter than cows. But yeah, I could go in and handle just about any horse out there, but I would be pretty lost if I had to move a cow, short of it being a small enough calf that I could just pick up and carry it. And you would be about the opposite of me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I've had 1200lb steers/bulls mad at me before, you just have to know how to handle them! :p
fingers in the nostrils, squeeze as hard as you can, twist. They'll stop right in their tracks, and stare at you, getting more ****ed by the minute.;)

Yeah, but the problem with that is you got your fingers up its nose, and sooner or later, you gotta let go. :p And horses are quicker than a cow any day of the week.

Right on both counts
When I was 9-14 yo, I was sent to the aunts and uncles farms as free labor. Happy times overall.
My uncle in Henning, MN, had a dairy farm. He also had a big bull named Riley. One morning uncle Dale was opening/closing the gate to take the tractor into the pasture, and Riley came at him. Uncle Dale is a smallish man, but a true farmer. Riley had a ring in his nose, and when he slowed down to give my uncle some attitude, uncle Dale grabbed that ring, twisted it, and flipped Riley right over
Uncle Dale then jumped on the tractor as fast as he could, and floored it to the back forty :D

He didn't wait around to discuss the weather? How could he be a true farmer? :D

Do you remember who the top person on your rep scale was, when you were at 2 trillion something? MATH ALERT: Add max reps to that until you get 2,147,483,647 :)

Evening, Lodge. I'm happy that I get to grow out a beard for two weeks. and Bakunin et al will run with this, somehow

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Evening Lodge.

So I'm going to an electronic music concert this weekend in Denver. Everyone is required to wear white. It's supposed to rain. Do the math. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I keep getting phone calls from the 231 area code. Evidently, that is the Muskegon/Traverse City area in Michigan. They never leave a message, so screw 'em. Can't help but be curious though...

Not it.
Or, you could answer your phone and find out what's going on...

I used to get wrong number all the time for people trying to call a 213 number. More often than not, it was in the middle of the night. *headdesk*

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Answer the phone, and start asking where "Susie" is. Tell them you need to know she's alright. Cry a lot.

Or just start speaking in a foreign language.

where is this? And why didn't you invite me?

Think you can make it down for a Rocks game on the 29th? It's a weekday, but tix should be easy to get.

The Gathering. Cosmic Gate is headlining, and one of my work buddies has a set as well (Audius.)

If you get tickets, buy them NOW, as in this instant. Promoters start the prices low, then jack them up gradually once they see how many people are attending. Right now they're $40, which is pretty good considering it's the day before the show.

And I may be able to swing the 29th. Wow, surprised I can get tickets considering they're in a wild card race. What time is the game?

huh, looks good. Was curious if anybody I saw last weekend would be there, but most of the people I saw are much bigger acts that are now overseas doing big things. Still looks like it will be a blast, enjoy =]
