Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Well, here's what I ended up with, not sure how good of a job I did,

(12 team league)

McNair's Girlfriend
QB Philip Rivers
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
RB Darren McFadden
WR Andre Johnson
WR Marques Colston
TE Visanthe Shiancoe
W/R Beanie Wells
K Jason Elam
D Minnesota

Bench:
QB Matt Ryan
WR DeSean Jackson
WR Torry Holt
RB Laurence Maroney
TE Vernon Davis

QB: A+
RB: B, maybe B-. MJD is your only real threat I think and Beanie could sway that grade either way.
WR: B+
TE: B+/A- depending on how MN calls the plays/Favre audibles in the red zone
K: B, but K's are always a wild card.
D: A

Wells will end up being a decent pick, I think. I expect him and Hightower to split time to start, but I think Wells will emerge at the end of the year. The only concern is that it's Arizona and they have some players by the name of Fitzgerald, Boldin, Breaston, and Warner.

With Wells' injury history, I would be afraid of Hightower getting the short yardage/goalline carries. Other than that.....

AP had injury history too and the Vikings still gave it to him in those situations. That wouldn't concern me as much as having that passing attack.

Oh, you have a good point, for sure. I'm just saying that there are other potential worries in that situation.

I'm taking the suite. I think it'd be fun to sit in one...

I still have to figure out how I'm getting there. :o

Maybe if FG doesn't have enough people, I'll take the suite. But it's so fun near the student section.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Sounds like I didn't do too bad at this fantasy football draft. My biggest worry was that I would draft someone that was injured in the preseason or something, since I wasn't expecting to have to do this and did no research.

I still have to figure out how I'm getting there. :o

I just wish I could go. Darn work getting in the way of fun...but I'm still holding out hope that I won't get into fall training, so I have that week free.

Also, if you guys are doing anything this weekend, and feel like dealing with me, let me know, I'm thinking that I need something to do either Friday night or Saturday night, even if it is just sitting around and playing cards.

Bum a ride with MNS :D

MNS has never seen Reservoir Dogs, so I think he is headed over on Sat to see it. So you are welcome, also. If we get a fourth, or fifth/sixth, cards are a definite possibilty. Hell, even with 3, we could gamble on some cribbage. :D

ecbrevik: MNS isn't driving. His car can't make it up the hills. :p And my Jeep isn't gas-worthy for the people/luggage it can hold.

That might work for Saturday night, I'll call you when it gets closer.

Cool. Maybe I can get the Commie out here, too. He's off his tour, I think, until Sunday night. He'd be up for cards.

I guess you guys have a serious problem then :D

It'll work out. I mean, if I have to buck up and take The Fifth, I will, but it's mo' def not even in my top 5 choice option right now. :(

Edit:

Jake: Well then... I guess you're really up Sh* Creek.
[Sister Mary Stigmata hits Jake Blues with a ruler for using that kind of language]
Sister Mary Stigmata: I beg your pardon, what did you say?
Jake: I offered to help you... You refused to take our money. Then I said: I guess you're really up Sh* Creek.

Alright, maybe I bumped my head harder than I thought in that ATV incident. I have been barely with it enough to do my job well so far this week. My job isn't difficult, either.

Oops. I might have to bring an end to my four-wheeling career, because it has sucked since I was 14.

Go get your noggin checked. Not good to have fuzziness without an evaluation.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! thirsty thursday is here.

and is bad coincidences- my M-in-l just got a dx of about a yr to live d/t cancer a few weeks ago. L'il and I were over there yesterday and she blurted that out (amongst a few other things). He handled it like a trooper. Starts his health class homework. One of the questions is "what would you do if you had a year to live? Be specific." This was not good.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Good Morning, Lewis! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

'Morning, Lodge!

Sorry to hear about your M-in-L, les :(

I think I watched far too much Top Chef yesterday. Last night, all I dreamt about was people cooking.
