Sometimes it means "let's talk after we screw on the couch"

Though that isn't necessarily good either, if the person has been acting strangely around your best friend, just got back from getting a check for STDs, or their voice has been getting progressively more masculine/feminine.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Wow.

Even more scary than that are those that are part of the Quiverfull movement. Basically, they believe that by reproducing to that degree, they can create enough new Christians to repopulate the sinful cities of the world. I have nothing against religious folk, but stuff like that? I'm sorry.

the implication to such movements is that humanity either can't be saved or is no longer worth saving... both seem antithetical to christ's teachings... now if you want to reproduce to have more people to spread Christ's message then that's just plain weird but not evil weird.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

but the walk from where you are to DC is all downhill. :D

I'm just running around right now... just bought a bed :) Its great to be here and I can't wait to get completely settled in. I think I'll try to get that place you mentioned for lunch later this week. Right now I'm still trying to organize some of the essentials.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I don't even have a site...they ultimate in laziness.

If you want him to factor in, then factor him in. No better way to learn more about him than spending time with him.

Monster angry! Monster smash! :D :D :D
hey, got back on and only a 12 minute wait. Got a live body now.

That's like this idiot I worked with once who wrote a costumer the following: "your order went threw". When myself and someone else tried to correct her, she wouldn't believe us because spell-check said it was ok.

In other news, why does the phrase, "we'll talk later" always sound ominous? How do I know the other person doesn't want to talk about something good like ice cream cake?

Well, you would talk right way about ice cream cake. ;) :D

Grrrrr... This is just lovely!!! I'm going to go punch a horse. Because I really couldn't work the past two weeks, I can't claim unemployment.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Wait a minute. You just got kicked in the head by a horse and now you want to go fight one? You want coloring books for Christmas the rest of your life, don't you?

It didn't kick me in the head, it struck me in the head with its teeth.

This just cheeses me off because I was planning on going to MTU at the end of the month here and now it doesn't look like I can do that, unless I can find somebody that wants to pay me to bring back a few growlers of KBC for them. Hence, the reason why I wanna go out and punch a horse.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Back from the dentist. No cavities, everything looks good except...I have one tooth that apparently has thin enamel and the dentist said that I could have a preventative filling to prevent a possible future cavity.
Do people fall for this ****?

I guess that second part of it makes more sense. Then again, these fundamentalist sects of Christianity believe in such a warped version of Christ's teachings it's hard to say.

If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college. Please, somebody catch the reference...
Seriously though, that sucks. :(

My parents did when I was younger. I got 4 preventative fillings, and still got cavities when I was older because the "sealants" (as they called them) wore away.

Those sealant things were a freaking scam.

If you mean Ray's the Steaks (near Courthouse Mero), they are only open for dinner. Ray' Hell Burger (in a strip mall between Couthouse and Rosslyn) is open for lunch, except perhaps one day.

The Grammar Horse would like you to bring it.

Note to self:

Just because Burger King has a 2 for $3 Whopper special, does not mean you should, under any circumstances, attempt to eat two Whoppers for lunch.

Uggghh

Really? My daughter and stepsons all got them when they first got their adult teeth, and none of them have a cavity so far (ages 21-25). And if my daughter has even a little bit of my tooth genetics, she'd have a few by now. :o
Mrs. and I thought it was money well spent.
Too bad the sealants couldn't apply to orthodontia as well :(

I had sealants when I was younger, parents' decision, and I also have never had a cavity...
What this dentist today suggested was not any kind of sealant, he was actually going to drill, like a real cavity, and put in a real filling. Even though I didn't have a cavity! I asked "couldn't I just wait until I get a cavity? You'll have to do the same thing, right?" he responded "yeah, it will be the same procedure, but some people want to get a jump start on these things." Seriously, people fix cavities that haven't even formed yet?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Nathan: In regards to rep... sure. No knowledge of that at all. :o

In regards to the current conversation... I really ought to go to a dentist for a checkup, except for that silly health insurance. Hopefully if I get another job soon, it'll come with an insurance plan.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I broke another tooth the other day, eating a chicken sandwich:rolleyes: . Thats the 3rd tooth I've broken in the last 6 months. Sucks:( . Gonzos comment on genetics is spot on, my dad had issues at this age with his teeth also.
