Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I spoke to him this morning. Calling him a mess would be an understatement.

Methinks you will never know just how much that call means to your friend. A really good buddy of mine lost his younger brother to a freak illness many years ago. I spent some time with him & his family at the ICU before he passed and to this day both my bud & his parents thank me for coming to the hospital. At the time I thought it was no big deal, it's what friends do. Little things mean a a lot....

Hell, I thought it must have been in a previous post! Then I'M Michael, dammit!

ASaaG: I want you to head out to California and get a client of mine a part in a movie. By the way, do you like horses?

(Or did Vito give him that assignment?)

California? Movies? Horses? Count me in, but I thought Big74 was in charge of all things equine? :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I left my reading glasses at home this morning. Made it a bit difficult catching up on my Entertainment Weekly this morning on the train. Had to run to CVS to pick up a pairof those magnifying reading glasses. Was not prepared to shell out $10 this morning.

It was all about the Beatles.

Didn't mean to spoil the ending...

In regards to this adult video, are you planning on making a cameo role(minor part played by a prominent performer in a single scene?? If so, count me out if you are thinking about selling one to me. FWIW no pun intended by the use of the word "minor" as it relates to you and a porno involving a horse. :p :D :)

At least you know who you are. I've been assigned two different people and I have no idea who they are...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

A good friend of mine lost his 15 year old son on Friday due to suicide. Wow and holy shiat! :(

I have no idea what to say to him. It is hard enough to lose a child but a suicide takes things to an entirely different level.

Yeah that sucks more then I even want to imagine.

Over the weekend a friend of mine lost his one year old daughter after his girlfriend left the baby in the car for three hours in Texas.

What are you suppose to say about something like that.

Three hours?!? :( What goes through the minds of some people (in this case obviously nothing)?

I'm just speculating that she's an ex-girlfriend today?

Sorry gmann. Thoughts go out to your friend and his family

My daughter suffers from depression. Therapy and meds helped, but the biggest thing that turned her around was graduating high school. I have no idea what your friends son was going through, but in my daughters case, peer pressure and just plain old teen years pressure wreaked havoc on her psyche. Now she's in the work force and PT college, and she's happy and thriving. I want to grab every kid who has depression and suicidal thoughts and shake them and tell them "just get out of high school - you'll see how people really interact".

Through the grapevine I heard he "pulled the trigger" while on the phone with his ex girlfriend. Apparently they broke up a couple days prior. I can't imagine the mental state of anybody whose only option is to kill themselves.

Good for your daughter! :)

How terrible. A permanent solution to a temporary problem. Very, very tragic

Did you hear about the incident in Wheaton over the weekend? That was all the buzz while we were staying in Traverse County.

Wow. :(

I don't think there are words. FWIW this morning when I called my friend I said I was sorry, I mentioned that I am one phone call away from helping with anything and then I just listened.

I recently heard a pilot at my company is not doing well after he just ended things with his fiance. I didn't know what to say to that, so I just told him that he can reach me 24/7 if he needs to talk.

I think that's all you can do in that situation. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

My supervisor's son commited suicide while a freshman in college seven years ago.
