Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

they (lil) are still young and have lots of time to improve.... remember, colin wilson was cut from his team as a 15 yo:cool:

This is true. Hell, a coach once told Tomas Holmstrom that he'd be better off learning how to gut fish, because he had a brighter career as a cod fisherman than an pro hockey player. Joe Sakic's Junior coach took Joe's sticks and ran them through a wood chipper, telling him he'd never make it as a pro. And Mario Lemieux's high school coach broke Mario's legs in three places (each), because "[Mario's] being on the ice was offensive to the entire sport of ice hockey."

I can't back any of this up.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Just got back home, real good trip, made it home in less than 12 hours including stops (Richmond, VA to the northern border of NY). Now out to drink with everybody for my friends birthday, then the start of mine in 3 hours =]

Disclaimer: I do have any knowledge of what may, or may not happen in the next 72 hours. Any and all inappropriate happenings are because of the influence of my good friend Alcohol. Likewise, any appropriate happenings were meant to happen.

I hope.

Night lodge!

Give it a full year for comparing the seasons. I bet you change your mind - unless you can't stand windy weather. Then you're SOL in Cheyenne.

Despite the "don't like the weather, wait five minutes" stereotypes, lower Michigan actually has pretty stable weather. You pretty much know what you're going to get at the start of the day: sunny, cloudy and gray, rainy, etc., with maybe a thunderstorm every 1-2 weeks.

Wyoming can ***-pull a line of thunderstorms out of a clear blue sky with alarming frequency. It's about as stable as Brian Thul's reffing.

And this is coming from a guy who braved 200 inches of snow every winter. Again, at least you could see it coming.

And honestly, I haven't noticed the wind. Gusty when the storms kick up, but pretty calm otherwise. I've heard that's more in winter though.
