Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

We're finally getting June weather.

Apparently a tornado touched down a couple blocks from where I work.

Maybe it took out our building, so I don't have to work and hopefully still get paid. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Evening Lodge. Managed to get a 6+ mile run before a thunderstorm hit this morning, which knocked the power out in my neighborhood while I was at work.

And I got sent back to the demo department today at work. Though it means a cut in hours, it also means a lower stress level. Plus access to whatever we're sampling that day. I win.

You better hope that this *storm that hit MN tonight misses you guys. A couple tornadoes, lots of lightning, heavy rains, heavy winds. Purple blotches everywhere.

Edit: and the immediate area around Chez Rube didn't even see a raindrop tonight. Go a couple miles north or west or east? Total f*age, according to videos/news/etc.

I just looked at the radar for your area. I don't see any purple, but there's too much red for my tastes.

It's hitting Amery, WI (or about to) at this point. It hit Plymouth MN about 9pm, Fridley MN about 9:30, and Stillwater MN at 10.

About two hours ago, there was a ton of it a few miles WNW of Minneapolis.

Lesson for today: it's not fun when it's 2:30 am, it's 74 degrees, and it's 87% humidity. Just putting that out there.

MI, you're next. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Thankfully I'm in an air conditioned hospital basement where humidity outside does not matter one bit. :p

Until a contractor doing a parking lot whacks the CAT5 line which allows the boiler plant to communicate with the main facility, and your power and #1 generator go bye-bye.

Which happened this Friday at my hospital.

Picked 2 buckets of beans, getting ready to blanche, cool and then freeze:D

Morning, Lodge. Rained like nobody's business here last night, but mostly there was just thunder and lightning like no other.

Which is great, because I was attempting to sleep away either a cold or a flu, with a side of dehydration.

Yeah, I could tell last night. It rained all morning and most of the afternoon, and when it finally stopped, the temp rose and it got really humid. It felt like the temp continued to rise for most of the night too. 95 with a heat index of 100 today, with a chance of thunderstorms.

Sorry man, that sucks. Hope you kick it today.

Wyoming. The West. Dry and sunny. Big sky country. Lies. All lies.

It's wetter than sc(u)m's panties out here. And the 300,000 volt columns of electricity randomly discharging from the sky every farking afternoon are a joy to negotiate as well.

In an unrelated story, I saw a guy at Wal-Mart who looked exactly like Walter Sobchak from The Big Lebowski.
Did you get him to day, "Shut the **** up Donnie!" ??

Foxton's on the loose in the 202!!
hehe, I did enjoy corrupting you last night. ;)

Could have been that Swine flu. :p

Yeah, was great to finally get some rain here, have really needed it. Pastures have been bone dry and I was getting tire of having to move hay feeders because the horses where pushing them around the pastures easily because the ground was all level and flat, not kinda bumpy from drying mud. whacked myself pretty good friday night because one out in our front lot had theirs up against the fence, and I forgot that one of the seperators on that feeder is kinda bent in a bit, so when I got it up on its side to roll it out to the middle more, it whacked me right on top of my head. :p

Now, its getting hot and sticky here, thinking of retreating to the basement and playing some playstation perhaps.

s'upp y'all...

any of you denverites..... any of y'all know a castle pines member? guy at my club is going out your way later this year and wants to play there. he's a little nutty in that he wants to play top courses in all 50 states and he calls up places and asks and gets out on most, but castle requires that you be set up by a member and he has to find one.... he's working some business angles from other members, but i thought i'd check (ahem!! ASaaG) here.

Beautiful weekend for Hoserfest this weekend. Did a little tubing, played a little water wiffle ball (yours truly with the walk-off HR), had some food, cruised around in the boat, burned some stuff. Good times. I missed 'Ewe, though.
