Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Sounds like a good time.

Tonight we are having some friends over for dinner. Tomorrow Mrs. g and myself will be attending a wedding. Sunday the FIL will be having a "come to Jesus talk" with BIL and MIL. Based on how the conversation goes the trip to Yellowstone might get cancelled as they are scheduled to leave Monday.

Please, please give my regards to Fillie, Billie and Millie. :D

Why the "eek" face? Is she fugly? Is she a foxton? Details, man, details!

I've finally nailed down the details - I've got a date tonight with a cougar.
Congrats on your cougar date.

Nothing like that, its just that it is a pretty rare occurance! :p

'Ewe,

Are you going to get another cat?
Doubtful, at least for the foreseeable future. This incident has left its mark.
Preferably one with a Hitler mustache?
:p Can I name him Oskar? or Abram?

I spent a chunk of the afternoon painting the new apartment (couldn't stand to be in my apartment with the cat accoutrement there) and discovered just now that I have a wide swath of lime green paint on my right foot. :o

Morning Lodge

Despite today being the first of four days off, I had to go to work to get my laptop fixed. When I woke it up this AM at home, it wouldn't display my desktop. Cursor worked, it appeared to boot up fine, but after several attempts in safe mode and other techniques, no go. So I drive to work (only eight miles), go to IT support, power it up, and it works fine.
Since I was there, I wound up participating in an impromptu meeting, wearing shorts, a Wild T-shirt and a Ketchican cap. :D
My manager told me to leave early one day next week to make up for the time I spent in the office today.

:(

I talked to my supervisor with the city today, considering it's looking more and more like I'll be still here in the fall. I told her while I like the arena, I do want/need something with more hours and a little more responsibility. It looks like she'll be able to find something in the arena for me that'll fit that. :) Plus the subbing thing (which, Bob or anyone here with a similar plight, I REALLY recommend you look in to!), I should be ok for the next year of real job searching.
Next paycheck, I'm ordering more transcripts and paying the $110 or so for the fingerprinting and processing fees.

You don't have to go to work today? Sounds like a good job to me! :D
Might as well stay home and bake cookies, or muffins, or... :)

:D

Just bought fifth row, main floor, tickets for Todd Rundgren 9/15 at the State Theater. He's performing his "A Wizard, A True Star" album in its entirety.

I've been a big Rundgren fan since I first saw him with his band Utopia in 1975 - also at the State Theater

It's seriously worth it. If I can stay busy in the Central UP subbing, you should be good in your area. The on-call part of it isn't as much fun, but it's still better than nothing.

My favorite part is that, at GHS, I can walk in for one scheduled sub day, and leave with a 4-5 more for the next few weeks. :)
