Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Mostly good. Once I get my tee shots to cooperate with the rest of my golf game everything will be copacetic.

How's life in the fast lane of West Texas?
Life continues to rock, in a late-30s sort of way (which is to say life rocks until about 10 PM each night and then I sack out). The kids are good, wife's great, and career prospects are on the good foot. But of course I'm an incurable optimist, so I haven't even mentioned my continuing aversion to Kryptonite, but that's about the only negative I see.

By the way, what do you think the penalty should be for a RepLodger stalking a fellow Lodge Member and trolling in an opponent's D-I team thread? Didn't we decide that sort of thing earned one the "Red Berenson" 6 red chicklets? You know, just in case that sort of thing ever happens in the near future...

K, 'night all. Gotta be in Lansing at 8am for a training day.

Hammer, give me a shout if you're going to the alumni games on Friday. I'm still up in the air about it. Grandma's been in the hospital for a few weeks now, and I might be obligated to head there instead. Ironically, "there" is Bixby.

'Til next time....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

No, it doesn't. At least, not on this end. Wanna come make me a birthday dinner?? There's a party store down the road if that helps influence your decision.
I'd love to; party store has no influence on my decision whatsoever.

What, are you going to make him run to the store to get the ingredients?
Might as well run; it's the only way I get out these days.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Best man, huh? Did they already have the bar open when they made that decision? :D

I'd tell you to enjoy the trip, but that doesn't seem like it'll be much of a problem.

The bar was open when he told me that they were getting married. :D I actually had him pass the phone to his girl and their DD to confirm the truthfulness of it. And I knew about a year or two ago that if/when they got married, I'd be the best man. It's gonna be a train wreck of the most beautiful epic proportions. :)

And I agree. No problem at all.

....or Billy "Red Light" Sauer's 4.86 goals against average when the game meant something. :D

G'nite. ;)

No, but I can keep him good and liquored up during the cooking process, no driving involved.

wteefE :D Good to see you too :p

:D

I'm not sure you understand how good pan-roasted chicken is (ignore the ramen, though Soy Vey is awesome, and makes it more than just "ramen"). Unless you just don't like chicken. Then I can understand.

Oh, I love me some chicken, I just love me some breakfast foods more.

I'd love to; party store has no influence on my decision whatsoever.

And that is why Bob is my (2nd) favorite poster. :)

T-minus 33 minutes. I have a birthday drink ready and waiting here.

Well, all, it's now been over six hours since gmann's "T minus 60" post, and no details of the family carnage.

I fear the worst, but will check in tomorrow.

Good night!

What, no love for the poster who would (and probably could) make you any drink you wish? :( :p

Likewise - here's hoping he's not gburgers now :o

Gold. :D

And he has a habit of that. At the last F5, a MN Wild photog took our pic for the Wild's "fans of the game" section or something like that, and wanted money to get the pic in "real" form. Thank Parise I had some computer skillz and got it saved for free (no right-click involved!). :o

A real life wizkid you are. :p

Evening, Lodge... spent 2000 miles in a car over the last 6 days, but it was worth it. Pictures will be forthcoming later, but I got to stand next to the Stanley Cup  or at least whichever facsimile the Hockey Hall of Fame has on display

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

"Anchor" meaning stop in place? Or head to a nearby port? Can a ship withstand waves better when anchored out to sea (as opposed to sailing on through them)?

Well, heading to a nearby port with the intentions of docking unannounced is expensive for the company, and with new regulations since 9/11, can be pretty tough to set up, despite any weather scenarios or not. The most likely bet is to go drop the anchor while in open water, however trying to get into a semi-sheltered area: ie. near a coastline, or perhaps try getting into a harbor and anchoring, but not tying up at a dock.

Just got into St. Clair, should be here +/- 12-14 hours probably. Our Captain is getting off for 2 months vacation, really, really good guy, very knowledgeable and was really able to teach me a good deal of practical stuff, he'll definitely be somebody I'll remember as helping me reach my goals. I've only got 6 days or so left before I get to enjoy 3 weeks of vacation before school takes over my life again.
